Yeah, I also saw that one.
The concept art looks great, although the screenshots fallback a bit into console looks, but perfectly acceptable.

They seem to be aiming at a Shadow of Colossus/Ico type of gameplay, but it's still pretty vague.
("Winning does not come down to who can mash the X button the fastest. Instead, the game challenges players to invent creative ways to overcome their enemies. Congratulations, you can shoot an arrow... but lets see you use your bow to defeat an enemy that can't be hurt by arrows. ")

Damn these KS and their horny wallets (yeah I'm looking at you Sui Generis).
If only they waited a bit longer and made a working playable demo before launching their KS...

Does anyone here have any interest in Skyrim and its mods?

more news at eleven
It's a mod that they will release for free, no legal issues here, added to the RPG section unless someone has objections.

Added Bloom in the Action Adventure section.

I have added a quick links section in the OP, it lists all the current projects running in the various sections, hope this will improve readability and help people to check faster if a project is listed or not.

a sci fi RPG in the spirit of the classics. Author claims inspiration by X COM, but game looks more like Gorky 17, which is by no means a bad thing. Also, all playable characters are disabled (well, aside from the dog I guess).

Developer claims huge experience and has something to show for his game. Boring video and zero press coverage the biggest obstables for this one.

On a side note, a problem I have with many many KS pitches including this one:

A thing I can't for the life of me wrap my head around. Why THE FUCK do people think it's a good idea to have 80 percent of the video be a still shot of their mug? I see that and I'm immediately skipping forward. God, is it a game pitch or a dating interview? Show some screenshots or something. Christ.

Might have already been posted but stumbled across it from a link in the BBC article on Elite. Random/procedurally generated survival game where you must evade/kill robot hunters.
I've been following this one, but so far what they've shown doesn't seem that different from any other FPS.

Sui Generis got a few updates giving more information about the game

Another delightful Sui Generis update. Gee, why can't this get enough funding?

A great article about Sui Generis appeared on Forbes today. Erik Kain demonstrates a clear understanding of what we are trying to achieve.

Erik Kain understands what we're doing! Not like all of you dumb motherfuckers!! Who's inconsistent and unclear now, huh?!?!?!?!

Apparently, the next generation of games relies heavily on big tit armored angels fighting mesopotamian vase salesmen. Who knew.

That's one page more than I'm willing to scroll back!
Then piss off.

:codexisfor:

Anyhoo, 'Sir' has reached two stretch goals in a day:

£45,000 - The Landowner
At this amount we'll be expanding our NPC roster with “The Landowner.” This chap is an aberrant mechanical ultra-toff. He's a leader among hunters, and the nightmare gaze of his glowing monocle means near-certain death, and at the very least lots of peril. With The Landowner in play, the player is truly in trouble – his tracking skills and his riflemanship are peerless. Fear him.
£50,000 - Hunting!
This stretch goal will allow us to include additional wildlife-slaying functionality. You will be able to hunt pheasants and rabbits and then cook them for sustenance. This will provide a complementary mode of survival for players aside from scavenging, as well as furnishing the world of Sir with more life. (And death.)

Still 23 days left. With goals of 60, 70, and 80k yet to be revealed.

A bit like the codexian welcome to devs who happen to stop by here then.

My thoughts precisely, not sure why this is getting so much buzz

There are hordes of wannabe monocled gentlemen out there, especially in Britain due to their love-hate relationship with the aristocracy. Also tweedpunk is a little different from what is available I suppose.

It is procedurally generated with the goal of getting out of the dangerous area with survivor aspect, how is that like any other FPS? This game sounds like it would work well in hardcore mode.

The game will most likely sucks. Sorry, but this is my impression. And to be honest, it was pimped to hell on the RPS site and that's one reason why I would not pledge for it ... like ever.
