Oh god that picture...

I cannot imagine this getting 400k; a lot of these smaller scope ideas seem to bottom out at ~100-125k. Platforming is the currently most over saturated genre there is and a $25 dollar entry fee kind of cuts him off at the knees. Outside of niche/under-served genres kickstarters tend to crash and burn lest they be <30k. Poor Tom Hall.
After the Shaker half scam I am not going to include anything made by him or Brenda, except for the shit list, and who is interested in this game here?Tom Hall of OLDSCHOOL RPG KICKSTARTER fame gives it another go. This time without bitter recently self-discovered feminist Brenda Romero. And also this time it's a platformer engine for kids, not an RPG.
Asking for half of the sum that you supposedly needed priorly is reason enough to ignore it and I don't think that the codex is more interested in this game than was before.Days of Dawn has relaunched with a lower goal:

The only risk is the power of the Force.

I saw that when they released the second campaing, and I went to the old one to compare it and was indeed very inferior (the "hipster" actor was way better in the old one), so apparently they got enough complains to hide the old one... not to mention some suspicious stuff like how apparently the DIRECTOR of the movie left the project, and that they originally asked for 15k, got 25k and now want more 30k...Does anyone remember Zero Charisma?
They ran a successful campaign on Indiegogo, now they are running another for the final stages:

This time the trailer is made from actual footage, the problem is that semms sub par compared to the original mock up, that it's now unavailable:

Also new KS At The Gates from Jon Shafer.

Well no fucking wonder. He IS a baby. That still doesn't explain how he got such a plum position out of the blue. Unless Sid's got a penchant for young boy buggery.Shafer developed fan mods for Civilization III while in high school. Additionally he served as a beta tester for the Civilization III expansion, Conquests, and later Civilization IV. This led to a programming internship at Firaxis and ultimately the position of co-lead designer for the second Civilization IV expansion, Beyond the Sword.[4][5] In developing for Civilization V
Many of the classics were made by people who were around his age at the time....Jesus Christ, he looks like he's 16. How the fuck did he get put in charge of designing Civ 5? I realize I'm a horrible leech on society barely able to dress myself but how the shit did he get such a key role for such a high budget big name game.
Yeah, I've been wondering about that too. DarkUnderlord, where is our troll? We all paid for that with our WL2 contributions! And on a completely unrelated note, where'd the "WHAT THE FUCK COMPUTER" Codex troll emoticon go? I preferred that one.
Generally the classics aren't 5th games in a long running series with a large budget with a publisher and leading a team as large as Firaxis, too. Especially when that appears to be his first paid work on a game. Seriously, he went from Civ 3 mods in highschool, to "Beta testing" Civ 4, to lead designer on 5. It's not like he made a game with 5-10 other people that became a classic and was wildly popular, he somehow leap straight to lead designing a flagship game for a well established company. Many of the classics were made by people who were around his age at the time....Jesus Christ, he looks like he's 16. Did you miss the part where it said he was co-designer on a Civ4 expansion? He must have done some decent work there since Firaxis trusted him with Civ5. Sure, he fucked up there but I see no particular reason to think that age/lack of experience was an important factor there.Generally the classics aren't 5th games in a long running series with a large budget with a publisher and leading a team as large as Firaxis, too.
