Is it common that you end up losing a small - moderate amount of vitality at the end of the early side missions on Hard?
I got absolutely blasted in my last mission, because I got confused about how cover works and 5 or 6 skeletal crossbowmen petered my guys with bolts before we managed to close the gap. Balan got two injuries and barely survived. I had to rush the Cathedral to start patching him up (sold out all my armoury for that purpose). Kay also got some vitality wounds and will have to sit out two missions.
The Magnificent Bastard, Ector got 1 vitality point, but this is so minor that I don't care about treating it and I kind of have to take all of my remaining knights on my next few missions. If anything it will give Dindraine an opportunity to show how badass she is, because between Ector and Mordred we have a ton of vulnerability effects to start thinning out enemies before they even reach the main line.
Not sure why people don't like Balan. In my game he is a truck that wrecks everything that stands next to him, while Kay is lawnmower: he sprint to enemies to get extra bonus damage and chopps as many of the weaker enemies as he can. And if there aren't any he just hammers them with his other attacks. The rest of the team is there to more or less clean up.
I decided to buy that Oathstone I was talking about. The Lord must be pleased with me, because later he granted me more blessings:
It's almost like Mordred is destined to be outnumbered (and he can grant unbreakable armor to anyone who is next to him!).
Love the atmosphere of the game - there are righteous knights who try to follow the ideal of the knight and ruthless bastards who have a more practical approach. So far nobody is an evil idiot just for the sake of being evil, which I approve. The art design is really good too, each knight looks unique and they all look like properly armoured medieval warriors, even Ector, who is basically a combat mage. Mordred is a bit over the top though. Somehow he reminds me more of King Arthur & the Knights of Justice:
I also hate Dindraine. Not her armor, but her picture screams "I am on a diet!" to me. I mean, if you are using a bow you should have arms, not sticks.
By the way, does anyone else have the weird visual bug in which parts of the models look like a monet painting for some reason? It is not that noticeable at a distance, but when zoomed in (when rescuing Kay and talking to Tewelyn in the prologue, for example) it was horrible. I have all settings on maximum.
