Latest features trailer doesn't look that impressive for people to say this is the best looking game ever.

Also, it was showcased with an Xbox controller instead of keyboard and mouse, with a ridiculous full screen tab based Ui... They know their market well.

Informative interview.

How Kingdom Come: Deliverance makes loot exciting without magic - htxt.africa

htxt.africa said:
Kingdom Come: Deliverance launches later this month promising a huge open-word RPG, without any of the mystical creatures, magic and fantasy we’ve come to expect from such games.

This has a lot of people wondering what developer Warhorse Studios is going to do to make their title as exciting while still maintaining a realistic setting.

What we really wanted to know is how weapons and armour will be enticing to quest for, when they’re not on fire or made out of dragon bone.

We got on a Skype call with Ondrej Bittner, a designer, and Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, the PR Manager, to find out.

Did you ever want to see all the scheming, plotting, politics, war and intrigue in Crusader Kings II from the perspective of one soldier who is but a statical number in CK2 and on macro scale but also so much more?

meaning eventually some giant fucking Abbasid blob will flood the map and convert everyone into sunni islam before facing off against a throng of aztec warriors? can't wait

Hey, I always wanted to experience those seduction event chains for one-eyed, attractive, lustful Byzantine empress who was just passing through Bohemia, in order to open trade route with some random count, from first person perspective. I just hope queens and empresses in this game are nothing more than better dressed tavern wenches (which they are anyway) with better view from the top of their towers where you'll find your sword to be just like the realm in deep shit(hole).

If she's really ugly just take of your helmet and put on her. Open the visor (a little bit) just in case she doesn't run out of breath (completely) and you out of excuses what your sword was doing in her royal highness' dead sheath.

Just make sure your agility, vitality, strength and charisma are high while noise and visibility are low for seduction focused playthrough. :smug:

I'm a backer but didn't pledge enough to get Alpha/Beta access, so I wasn't able to check how many CPU cores the early versions used.

We’ve managed to optimize engine to run the game quite nicely, with basically little outside support. If you compare KCD beta version with current build you can immediately notice huge performance improvements in all areas. Beta barely used 2 CPU cores while current version runs animation, physics, entities update, RPG logic and AI logic all in parallel. Given the fact that it wasn’t there from the start it works quite well. Another thing that was also added was instance and layer streaming. Otherwise our huge level simply wouldn’t fit in memory.

Smejki Is the game best played with mouse and keyboard or controller?
Good question. There are many people within the company preferring either and none has ever complaint that some part of the game is significantly worse controlled that way. I personally prefer m+k and see no troubles with it. Shooting with a controller (archery in our case)? What kind of witchcraft makes any one to be able to that?

I was checking some big gaming websites (eurogamer, gamespot, ign, rps..) and unless I missed something they never bothered posting about either of the two latest trailers (16min gameplay one and this one). What gives? Then I realized even codex never made a newspost :p

It's not Obsidian news so Infinitron doesn't care.

Smejki: Is a charisma build going to be useless as in every single RPG except AoD? If there are any opponents I have to fight/many opponents I can fight to level up, I can't go full charisma. Charisma hybrids are always shit, because instead of only being 50% strong I could be 100% strong in my fights.

They said you can play a 100% pacifist run, if you want, so I suppose charisma will be very important.

There is allegedly only 1 guy you have to kill, everything else can be solved in a non-violent way.
