Apparently 190th issue of Retro Gamer has a retrospective article about Divine Divinity. ("The Making Of: Divine Divinity. Swen Vincke revisits the RPG that helped define Larian Studios.") I wonder PCGamer will reprint this on their website later too.

More job postings for cinematic artists:

Responsibilities:
  • Use proprietary cinematic tools to to bring scenes to life
    • Craft cutscenes and sequences that emphasize camera motion and character performance.
    • Manipulate performance capture data to stage scenes.
  • Understand and maintain the cinematic style of the production title
    • Elevate the emotional impact of the narrative through cinematics.
  • Tap into your cinematic experience to tackle emotional and performance heavy sequences

What kind of cinematic they're going for I wonder.

We know they're already prototyping more emotionally engaging interactive objects for DOS3, pretty sure the payoff will involve a satisfying cutscene

Another job posting for cinematic artist, internship this time: http://larian.com/jobs/summer-internship-cinematic-artist/

I guess they're at the stage of actively making some kind of cinematics this year?

Gameplay Programmer at Larian Studios and AIE alumnus Nicholas Zaharias talking to students about his time in industry and tips for juniors starting out.

"Swen, Swen, ah, I forgot his last name... Swen Vincke?"

And some nuggets about Larian's in-house engine.
