2. We're not talking about the quality of Battletech models. We are talking about how players are leaving GW's games to play other ones. The quality of the models has zero to do with it.
People that play miniature war games buy games with the best looking models, that are the highest quality. Battletech Models are like, 30 bucks for five, using a cheaper shittier plastic, mold lines everywhere, many of them are warped and have literal supports on them. Battletech Miniatures fucking suck, they don't hold a candle to GW and aren't going to win over anyone who likes miniature war games for the, you know, miniatures.
There's also zero evidence that there's been any kind of major exodus. Please show me evidence there's any evidence of the game being played more. Hell, let me call up my local FLGSes and oops I live in the most populous city of Canada and not one of the SEVEN FLGSes carry Battletech, know what it is, were aware they were making new stuff of it, or were hosting game nights.
