First one is pretty damn close, second one is in NW corner. We also have 7 Ray'Coo and if we want Combot to stay alive, we should take them out fast.

We've got our 2nd casualty in 1st turn, so I'm gonna start this mission from turn 1.
Of course that is IF somebody decides to rewind the time for our BRO Pussy.

I would also like to remind you that lightbane depleted his magical powers bringing Bluebottle back from the grave in mission 9.

So, how should it be?

I would suggest to someone reanimate pussycat and repeat the mission but not before exchanging someone his weapon for a mine thrower.

PS: What would happen if in a let's say specially unfortunate mission all of our party but Bratt dies?

We have to kill this 1st A'C in this turn, or we're dead (well, one of us will die for sure).
That's why I insisted on buying a MT: stepping on a mine stops enemies from moving further AFAIR.

Combot shoots 1st A'C twice, for 29 HPs. If my calculations are right, he has 44 HPs left. There's no way for us to kill him even with concentrated firepower of the entire team. Let's move Combot W and pray that it survives next turn.

I just started playing this game after stumbling upon this LP. So thanks spekkio, it's been a while since someone made me discover a new interesting game (insert random sex joke here). I only read the first two pages of your LP, since I don't want to know about things in advance.

I played the first five missions and the game is rather good so far. I particularly love seeing the aliens move through their own eyes, it's a nice touch and it brings lots of tension. On the other hand I hate the awful and clumsy interface. It also starts to look suspiciously like a puzzle game in disguise, and from some of the comments, it seems it will only get worse, so I'm afraid I won't like it all that much as time goes on.

Still, thanks for the LP I'll read it thoroughly when I finish the game, or give up.

I think every TB tactical game has it's flaws. X-Com is way too random when it comes to casualties (you did sth wrong - you die, you did everything right - you die anyway), in Jagged Alliance leveling up is not that important, because you will replace your soldiers with better ones during the campaign, etc, etc.
I really like one thing in Incubation: you die only if you screwed sth up or was extremely unlucky.

As Kiree or Ashery wrote earlier, TS is not really worth it IMO.
Most of the time we'll be fighting in close combat, so accuracy is not that important.

Buying some energy weapon in the future is better idea, especially due to their 100% accuracy :)

Large medkit is always useful, but skills requirements are steep.

You see my conundrum Commander? I want to squish aliens in great numbers, I want to do that in many many bursts of alloy slugs/sabot/whatever shot multiple times.

P.s. that little training program you got me? (system shock portable) it's so awesome.

Just to know: Can a soldier survive a direct attack from these super-giant freaks with the heaviest armor you can have (I'm assuming by the endgame)? Just to know how powerful your characters can become (eventually).

And once more, anyone knows who gives these xenos unpronounceable names?

If this big fucker is hitting only once for 20hp then with Heavy armor (6Def front) you could survive with like 1hp because the highest HP in my team was 15.

AFAIK armor is not working by adding HPs, but by reducing damage?

And Combot was PWND in previous mission even with his massive front armor...

Also Heavy Armor IS the heaviest armor available in the game, there will be nothing better in the future :(

I thought that 6Def mean -6 for the damage soldier take.

One way or another, getting hit is never a smart thing to be doing :D
