So, is this series any good? Or is this some strange, advanced form of shitposting that I've never seen before?

So apparently the game runs at stable 60FPS for most people but occasionally drops to 50 or so for some. Must be some GPU compatibility issue. I just downloaded it and it runs great for me on my not-so-new laptop; I won't get to play it at any considerable length until the weekend, though.

*Steam Cloud needs to be active in order to start this game.

What's that crap? You can't play without cloud saves / in offline mode?

Yeah, no idea why. I forgot to check this today but I'll double-check it when testing it out extensively during the weekend.

A lot of people liked XIII-2. I can't say the same, I was bored through most of it. Don't know what the reception was for Lighting's Armpit Porn Returns, but it has a lot of different outfits/jobs for Lightning so this is for all those who wanted a dress-up waifu simulator.

I hope they'll patch them.
It's rather ridiculous that the framerate more than doubles if you just plug in a controller.

Stunning artistic direction depicts a doomed world filled with choice and diversity. Living, expansive environments featuring a rising and setting sun provide unique experiences for every player.

The art direction was never the XIII series problem, so I have no idea why you post a picture of one single object in the game.

Edit: Also that dog doesn't look bad aside from being blocky as fuck.

Edit2: I do agree LR looks worst of all XIII games. Still got some nice sections though.

Please, fill this thread with Lightning pics. Poor girl, thrown in those perverse 'games'. She's the rose in the corrupted garden of the wicked orientals, I hope someday she's saved from these wreckers.

Just noticed that thing in the minimum requirements, and this IMO deserves to be made a warning in the news post:
*Steam Cloud needs to be active in order to start this game.

Steam cloud can only be active when you're connected to the internet, so it translation, you need to be connected to the internet at all times to even run the game.
Plus you're forced into using the steam cloud feature irrespective of your needs.

What addle brained twat thought that was a good idea?

Game is really fun, the Majora's Mask-like time system makes things really dynamic. You get a quest and it has a time window to be completed... miss it and it's gone. And you can't rewind time.

Unfortunately, while I like that it comes with all the DLCs, they break the game. Seriously, don't use them. You get dozens of outfits & weapons, like Cloud's uniform & sword - which deals like 999999x more damage than your initial weapon, and you can sell in shops for a small fortune... not to mention gear like this:
