I remember playing it way back then. There's this bit where you're sent to jail and you have to break out and then find your way back to Barcelona because the jail is not in the town, that was fun as a concept but not in execution, which, in the end, could describbe the entire game imo. I think I gave up during some endless sewer section.

What i remember is that level scaling is completely bonkers in this game. It adds quantity instead of quality. Fallout's system with its pinpoint melee and ranged is completely suck because of this. Only nuke spells matter. Just export your high-level char and start from the beginning. Have fun.

The only thing I remember about this game is enjoying joining up with the necromancer and then subsequently lamenting it wasn't expanded upon any further.

As was said a million times already, it starts really well, a proper cRPG, and then turns into basically a shitty Diablo clone. The setting was, IIRC, crusaders and muzzies unleashing some evil force while battling, which caused various mythology shit to enter the real world and wreak havoc. It was an alright idea, but I wouldn't say it was all that ground breaking. Still, could have become something cool were the execution not botched

anybody knows why flip flopper Rex and @Saint_Proverbius are thanked in there?
Yeah, I know exactly why. The lead designer used to hang out in the RPG Codex IRC channel back in the day and we'd talk about the SPECIAL system. He was pretty cool. The name in between Exitium and me was a nice Polish chap that ran a Fallout site back in the day. Ausir was a bro.

Best way to play Lionheart is to mimic Fallout builds. Which means going for Sniper or Slayer (Slayer only affects unarmed).
Unlike Fallout, Skilled trait is very good because there are not enough good perks in game invest into. Skills are very important in this game.

For unarmed specialist best race is Demokin with Vampiric fury trait. Thats lets you heal depending how much dmg you do.. so basicly potions and spells are not important.
