Here's a funny thing I noticed, even if you stick to the same dungeon after 2nd killing of Helmut, the mobs keep getting harder. Goblins are getting first strike now and just flat out killing my party. This is becoming Oblivion stupid. I did find out that my low wifi wasn't properly updating so whole events never even registered like the one I posted. Utter fuck me! If you don't have the wifi then you're pretty fucked because every patch or maintenance will cause more bugs than you'll care to deal with. So thanks to the discord players giving me the heads up on shit wifi and patching NOT HAPPENING.
So there is lvl scaling, huh? That's a no go.

At least the mobs give more xp (not that I can use it until I take a grade up exam. I suppose it is to nudge you to move forward. Obviously some players don't notice it. I honestly don't find anything even in new dungeons. Maybe my game is bugged but the junk I find is the lowest tier shit no matter what tier it says. If it said mythic steel junk I'd end up with beginning junk. So, maybe my game is bugged. Fuck if I know.

i think it only happens on first floor. gobbos and hobgobbos in donato and some ng+ quests ARE stronger than average. not ng+ gobbo den tier of course but way tankier than other monsters of their tribe. returns to norm at floor 3 and further(second floor is too small).

You gotta recheck first dungeon. They are definitely stronger than before 1st run completion and even stronger after 1st and 2nd completion. Like I said, many mobs in there now get first strike and hit way harder. As I said, I suppose it is to nudge you to other dungeons and progression but those too seem to wipe the floor with my party and my loot is bugged. Several reinstalls, cache clearing in hi wifi areas and mine is still fucked. I don't want to restart a new account.

i know. i did. as i said it's first floor thingy for some reason. gobbos are way tankier than on later floors. i suddenly was doing 60-70 damage in melee instead of 100+.

i still doing some bondmates quests in first dungeon for weekly and monsters are fine on later floors.

It isn't an event change is it? That last event wants lots of humanoids for some goals. At least i cleared that. I'm just pissed about special dailies being missed. One reward was a class change scroll I didn't get. And missed bones always annoys me.

I really don't even know what dungeon I should even do now. Adam just approached me for his quest as well.

I've played it up until the final quests of the second story dungeon (out of the 2 currently available) and got too bored to continue. Maybe there is a fun game somewhere there but it's buried under heaps of repetitive freemium grind of copypasted bullshit. You're better off playing almost any other dungeon crawler out there.
That bad? That's a disappointment to hear, but thanks for the heads up. Too bad, because despite the gatcha garbage, I thought this one might have some promise.

It'd make an interesting TTRPG if someone wanted to attempt it. I still don't know why they aren't selling posters, .stl images to print the 3D monsters/characters and other stuff. Seems like missed opportunity imho.

no. i can kill monsters on 7-8 floors just fine in melee only using magic on undeads while on first floor i was saving secret arts for big hobgobbo groups, like in donato quest.

I should point out I like the story and side quest stories that I tried. That is fine. I really don't care for the 3 combined same into 1 greater item mechanic. There's a lot of fails as well trying to turn certain enchants into alteration stones. Many failures. Only do that if you're clearing inventory imho. People with Red (and later it'll be way higher) items by making them looks annoying. I imagine as scaling continues you'll just find said items (in an non-bugged game; mine is truly fucked).

Then there's this lantern stuff, enhancing skills somehow by dissolving dupe characters and more. The more that gets added the more I see bloat which in the end is just to raise your damage. I talk to discord players who hit so hard it seems unreal.

I really don't want to see a game where damage score go into the millions, billions, trillions etc.

Pick Labyrinth of Touhou 2 back up yesterday on a lark. I'm in the fire themed section, and damn, I forgot how awesome the dungeon design is in this game. Here's my incomplete notes for it so far:

f13

85

North
64-65.2 - entrance from F14CW

67.2 - 69.8 treasx
47 - 50.8 treas

87 - 90 - temp orb 10+

Temp orbs - 7+,8+,5-

77 - 82 - bridge N/S

South

-Entrance

70 - 80 - temp orb 24 Floor 12 entrance
61.8 - 62.2 - temp orb 4
70 - 75 -temp orb 2+

Temp orbs - 10, 20

47 -48.8 - bridge S/NE

NE

Enter from 14 East hole

3 temp orbs
10,18,6
59.8 - 60.2 - dud

f14

32

temp orbs 7, 10,,15

For anyone who's never played it, the map has a bunch of passageways that only open when the floor is at a specific temperature. Around the level are scattered orbs that can change the temperature by a fixed amount when toggled. So you've got to note which orbs change things by how much and plan a route through the maze to hit them in the right order to be at the right place with the right temperature to go through a passage and claim the treasure or progress behind it. Add to this, the floor above has pitfalls and multiple staircases above and below and it's a glorious clusterfuck.

Can't wait to see what they've got in store for the third game. Should be out soon.

It's a dungeon crawler where
-There are currently 2 main dungeons (although they seem to be adding a third one soon). First is a very basic starter dungeon with a babby's first teleport puzzle on one of the lower floors. Second has some one way movement puzzles and submerged zones that prevent spell casting and sometimes you can unsubmerge them. Not too bad, but pretty basic and nothing out of the ordinary.
-There are only 6 classes
-There are maybe like 20 unique enemies that just get copy pasted all over the place and level scaled where appropriate
Other than this there are optional dungeons and timed event dungeons that exist for you to grind for items. These dungeons have 0 unique meaningful content and are just full of the aforementioned copy-pasted mobs from the story dungeons, level scaled where appropriate.
Content wise this feels like an early access game. The combat is pretty basic too with almost every encounter feeling the same. I fell into a routine of just AoE-ing everything down with my 2 mages. Also during my adventure I fought only 2 enemies that I could describe as a "boss" and only 1 of those was interesting.
But then there's also the "gatcha garbage" which knocks the game down the fun scale several ranks further. Everything is tied to the fucking cash shop. Want a new character? Pay up, or grind the drip fed cash shop currency. Want to dual class? Pay up or grind (also wait, because dual class tokens appear at random in the shop for different characters). Want to get some sort of unique weapon for your special characters? Pay up or grind, bitch! You can't just get anything cool by finding a secret or defeating a boss like you would in any normal RPG, everything has to be drip fed through fucking daily chores and time-gated events.
So in the end you have this mediocre game and then you add the gatcha garbage on top and it becomes a worthless waste of time.
Honestly, the best part about the game are the visuals and presentation - the way your characters run into view to attack and the whole dark fantasy aesthetic.

Should be out soon.
