Let's be realistic : we're never going to be any good with a sword. I suggest we buy everything except "The trade of the blade".

Perhaps he's an agent provocateur, sent by the conspiracy to probe how we'll react. But that may be too paranoid, just let him be (but under watch)

A - Whether he's telling the truth or not, I don't see how he could be of any use to us, and there are many ways in which he could prove to be a nuisance.

Forgot to say, we earned an achievement earlier for killing the assassin after telling him we wouldn't:

D - The problem with slaves that they have no motivation or loyalty : we couldn't possibly trust them as soldiers and I doubt that they'd be very good workers. Better to hire specialists when we need them, they'll do a better job and we won't have to feed and clothe them. Also, slaves can rebel and cause trouble.

Depends on how we use them. If you treat them like shit and do the worst work while placing them as the lowest form of society, absolutely. However, if established with actual status and rigorously trained they may actually present an imposing force personally loyal to the monarch for freeing them from a life of drudgery and instead providing them the chance to achieve martial excellence and great honor. Think of something along the lines of the mamluks. Of course, can’t zone out on them either and let them assume too much influence, but it is a conceivable option.

I'll say we have quite a few options of dealing with them.

There's always a possibility that some of the slaves might have useful skills and that we could get them to cooperate with us by offering them their freedom. The problem is that there's no way of knowing what they're worth without actually buying them.

I am sure there is a catch here.

A) Accuse the guard of breaking the window himself.
B) Order the leaking spots fixed. (Costs 40)
C) Order repairs for the gardens. (Costs 30)
D) Order the windows to be improved with fortified glass. (Costs 50)
E) Order everyone to go sard themselves and leave me be.

You can pick as many options as you want. "Calling is day" is mandatory to proceed, unless you choose option E first.

Also, here's the glossary in case anyone is wondering what the hell "sard" means:

BCD. It's quite possible that the guard is responsible for this, but having windows with fortified glass seems like a good idea anyway.

Let's settle this before continuing. Why did the guard break the glass?

A) The guard broke the window because he hates his liege.
B) The guard broke the window so an assassin could enter.
C) The guard broke the window so he could share the profits with the glassblower.
D) The guard will explain why he broke the window or he will be beheaded.
E) The guard will explain why he broke the window after some torture.
F) Do not provide any explanation.
