All AI art will do is replace talented artists since it is cheaper while still keeping the talentless hacks around.

There's definitely a huge stench of hypocrisy coming off people declaring that AI art isn't legitimate, when they're using a computer to draw perfect lines, perfectly match and select colours, or edit existing images, including their own mistakes. All things they'd be completely shit at if using physical media.

As far as I'm concerned, if you can finagle the AI into making some good, or even good enough that you can clean it up a bit to make it good, you get a seat at the table.

You are kinds comparing two extremes here tho. I mean sure I understand that but I dont see a problem in using AI art for porn, video games or movies, etc, its not like those are high brow products. I just dont see the reason for the absolute meltdowns if someone uses AI art for hentai or to draw backgrounds or certain parts of their video game. I mean I see why 'artists' are angry but I dont see a reason why sould I personally care, the end product is pretty much the same. This is media meant for mass comsuption, I am not picking over the details, I doubt I will even remember them 10 minutes after I finished reading/watching/playing.

Those are the extremes I meant tho. I personally still fail to see the problem and why we should ban AI art entirely. AI is just a tool, we dont, or rather shouldnt, ban tools because someone could 'misuse' them.
