Have they struck a deal with ubi on putting fisher in the game? Is this cross-universe game?

Exactky. MP1 pretty much defines the word "popamole"
No, Max Payne has never popped any moles whatsoever. Hiding behind cover and popping out to take potshots at enemies at the other side of a room is simply beneath him - he just dual-wields two overly large handguns and leaps right into huge crowds of shotgun-wielding Russian gangsters, guns blazing.

A gimmick? Yes. Stupid? Yes. Popamole? No. Fun? Fuck yes!

Here's a little game

- What exactly on the poster below has anything to do with Max Payne except letters 'Max Payne'?

- If you will change the name to any other will anything change?

No no no.

It's "...in a way that will attract new fans while still satisfying series veterans".

And it almost never does.

As a huge Max Payne fans we believe that putting the third game in shiny and colorful tropical setting is completely in spirit of the predecessors. The old dark atmosphere of the old games were result of the engine limitations, but thankfully with the new technology Rockstar managed to give you true Max Payne experience.

First time I saw that poster I thought it was some Jagged Alliance 3 - Return to Arulco kind of thing. Max Payne? What?

I don't enjoy shooters in general but enjoyed both Max Paynes. Hell. I don't think I've finished any other shooters since Max Payne 1 came out besides Max Payne 2 and Half Life 2. So yes, I would've liked a proper neo-noir New York City detective story in the spirit of the originals. But I'm not surprised we are getting the grittier, more immersive, more in your face, cooler, BUZZWORD EXPLOUSHUN AAA-game spectacle.

We ain't getting David Lynch with Max Payne 3. We are getting Michael Bay. :decline:

Max Payne. That's a game I remember playing for days back in the day. I was very cautious about Max Payne 3 because of all the changes to the game formula, but after playing for 5 minutes I was sold - it is a Max Payne game in every way, perhaps even superior to the predecessors.

What the fuck are you talking about? Looks like a Max Payne game? Hell no! Take away the classic music in the beginning, and you won't even now what game is this, it is so generic. This will be shit. No surprise here.

MP3 takes place in Brazil eh

also one thing I noticed in the trailer was the bullet spinning, I haven't played fps games for quite a while so has a game done this before?

What a shitty trailer.

Rockstar did a gangsta game, completely unrelated to Max Payne and then slapped a title onto it.

They also invited original voice actor but lawl it still isn't Max Payne.

Also looks fucking ugly.

The graphics look like shit. I don't care about the setting also. Where the fuck is my over the top noir feeling? WHERE? Rockstar published one noir oriented game recently which had the feeling. This one doesn't have anything. At least music in the trailer is from originals.

Also you have to give credit for R* for starting the trailer with the classic MP music. They realized that if they miss that, nobody will believe that this is a Max Payne game.
