Actually it doesn't look too bad.. for some generic shooter. Make your own IP, brand the game "Joe Carnage" and I wouldn't care. But Max Payne? No, no, no. The cello Max Payne music does not even fit this trailer. Not the fucking slightest. It is totally, totally tacked on.

I wonder who made the call to make the game generic dark & gritty instead of heavy noir. Was it the suits who wanted to differentiate it from their other "noir" games or thought noir wouldn't sell, or did the developers themselves push for this shit as they didn't like noir and wanted to make something with more awesome (licensed from Bethesda) in it.

Did you guys not see?? In one shot he has a mop of hair and in the next he's bald. It's Kane & Lynch combined into one!

Noir story? The whole game doesn't need to look like the motherfucking Third Man to be "Noire".

yes it does be ause "noir" means black in french (it's true I saw it on wikipedia) so it can't be noir unless it looks black and dark

Next game will be Cyber Noir with a clone of Max making out with a robot chick in the middle of Tokyo.

Your series has become a money whore.

"Funny as hell...it was the most horrible thing I could think of."

Everything about the game looks like shit, but especially the story of "Max Payne" 3 looks like the most horrible thing I could think of. Working for some rich fat pig definitely motivates you in the same way as, say, having your entire family murdered or something. What happened to the "a man with nothing to lose" thing?

Rockstar games don't fail, and MP3 won't be an exception.

And people seriously need to learn what Noire really means.

Wow dude, this plus your ridiculous optimism about Syndicate...do you have any standards at all?

Also GTA IV was pretty shitty last I checked, and I don't just mean the PC port. MP3 looks like a horrible cover based piece of crap that completely misses the point of the originals, don't see how anyone could think otherwise.

Trying to earn some KKK, newfag?

What can I say? I enjoy good action games from proven developers.

it shipped 4 million copies and topped the charts in a number of countries.

Shipped != sold
Shipped = we printed 4 mln copies hoping they will sell

But it sold enough for Bondi to go and fucking die. Incline all around.

They only ship so many copies to the retailers if there's a high demand.

So yes, LA Noire got a very high demand. And it's still selling well. Not to mention there's a PC version coming too.

Looking forward to this. Rockstar knows their games.

Is it right after "eating a plate full of shit" and "getting raped by a horse" on your list of things you look forward to?

Cause otherwise... :?

Apparently Rockstar themselves don't think so.

The game must be doing really bad if Rockstar decided to port in to PC although it has neither popularity of GTA on PC (meaning guaranteed millions of sales) nor a console hit like RDR (meaning no need to port it to PC to get some real money)

More like - Rockstar knows their sandbox games. I do agree that they are generally a good developer though, fuck the hatorz. And most likely MP3 won't be a complete pile of shit, but at the same time I highly doubt they will repeat the awesomeness of first two games.

:poop:
I don't know, I haven't played RDR cause I don't own a console and GTA4 was still over the top enough for me. Certainly not "realistic". But hey, keep shitting on everything you can, it's an easy way to feel smart, I understand and don't judge. Or maybe I do.

RDR's writing has one huge problem, otherwise being pretty nice:

Did John Marshton get fucking high or something on his way from Mexico to the Great Plains? His thoughts on Dutch make a fucking 180 degree turn!

It topped the NPD and British charts 3 months on the trot and sold out in australia. 1.5 million alone in those early months on the US market. You can guarantee they'll go through those 4 million easily, if they haven't already.

Bondi died because McNamara is toxic is fuck and the studio had the stink of controversy and bad press all over it. Irrelevant either way, rockstar owns the ip and there will be a sequel...likely next gen.

Looks shit to be honest. Looks more like a GTA game than a MP game. No atmosphere, just generic action sequences and gangstarz running around. And Max Payne shaves his head, what the fuck is that about.

Shaved his head and uses his shirt to wipe his ass and blow his nose apparently. Pretty lame looking.
