Yeah, if you happened to throw a grenade at yourself. I played MP recently. I always had a full stack of painkillers and rarely used them because it becomes too easy if I have full health.

The new artstyle is atrocious and I dislike the behind-the-shoulder camera. But that doesn't matter anyway since it will be a badly optimized port, likely with bad controls (because it is made with a controller in mind) and a "press any key to start" screen.

Not interested.

brbr?
I like how Sul thinks that developers saying there's gonna be AI flanking and shit means it's true. I bet he went into Mass Effect thinking it's gonna be a hardcore RPG because the devs said so.
Hold right there! Let's not put the cart in front of the horses!
Not sure if the cover system is whack-a-mole like Mass Effect and Gears of War since they said that thing about AI flanking and charging to force the PC out of cover. Could be PR bullshit but that remains to be seen.
Read what you can but understands what you want, eh? No problem, I can already see that around here people are somewhat desperate to be edgy and act like smartasses.

what the fuck, that's not how you're supposed say "alô"

this shit loads really slowly, but I already feel my butt hurting from that

edit: might be good for what it is: plot has a high chance of being shit but we're talking about videogames and it looks like they're not going to pretend they know anything about the country, which is great for me

the popamole in this game may be :decline: but you probably get to mass murder brazilians, potentially inclining things up

If they pull another LA Noire here (1 month after release 75% off on Steam) then consider it bought.

Otherwise, this better has some fucking revolutionary battle system to warrant my money, 'cause the rest looks like a linear 6 hour cutscene romp.

The original Max Payne games were in many ways proto-popamole.

And how. Do please Illuminate us on the issue. The original Max Payne wasn't popamole or proto-popamole in anyway. It was a great third person shooter with a beautifully told cartoonslide story. It did not have quick time events or anyting remotely close to consoles??

Stop dumbing down good old games for no reason at all.

I guess you are just one of the newer members spouting memes like popamole which is a retarded word and makes you look like a twat.

Max Payne was the first game I played with player controlled "bullet time" so that's a pretty big feather in its cap.

Because developers want to appeal for the biggest audience possible, while at the same time keeping hardcore fans happy.

Here you go :smug:

Wow, it's come a long way from when I quit almost 3 years ago. I hope that it does well, if only because I still have friends who have been working insane crunch-mode hours for the past 2 years.

It will definitely be better than the movie. :)

Looks like the game has transformed back into a very linear and staged action game; when I started, we were going for a bit of an open-world vibe within each level.

I'm liking the trailers I've been seeing lately - the first two games were awesome and their brevity probably helped ensure they didn't outstay their welcome (the graphics in #2 still hold up well today, IMO). Unless the reviews are incredibly negative, I'll definitely be getting this one.
