The problem is assets. The less you have to spend on certain assets the more you can spend on others. Tiles are fucking primitive, but their job is easy to cater for. Hence devs are able to spend time on other shit.

Yes. A lot of people underestimate just how much it costs to produce high-quality art assets when they need to look good on large screens at high resolutions, from any angle, and when viewed up close or very far away. With grid-based movement, there are a finite number of distances and angles that a piece of art can be viewed from. This makes it tremendously easier and less costly to create environment art than in something like an Elder Scrolls game.

Balanced will win of course, but perhaps the relative ranking of the other two options can help the designers decide which element should predominate.

their PR is starting to piss me off with their inane community votes.
combat, puzzle or balanced?
how about whatever is the most fun (and there's no way for voters to know since they haven't played it).

Skyrim bard music wins: https://mightandmagicx-legacy.ubi.com/opendev/blog/post/view/51cdb67be754b6947e000006

A) The Dangling Woods: 47%
B) Horns of War: 33%
C) Dragon Song: 20%

To those of you who didn't like the songs, please keep in mind that these audios are just demo versions. The songwriter is a member of the team who wrote and recorded the demos himself at home. They're bonus material that's separate from the normal soundtrack, and the song you picked will only be heard in a tavern somewhere. Plus, it will of course be reworked and re-recorded by professional musicians before it becomes part of the game. So thank you for voting and for giving us feedback, and rest assured that there is no reason to lose any sleep over the music. ;)

And no worries, as Julien aka Marzhin93 has already pointed out in the vote comments already: "Nobody said that the whole soundtrack will be made of songs".

SAVE THIS CHARACTER? NO.

Lame. Dragon Song could have been made into something nice.

I used to be suprised that the HOMM2 CD version had an option to remove opera vocals from the soundtrack. 'Who would want that?', I pondered. No more.

edit:

Fuck.

Nothing Limbic or Ubisoft can do from here on can convince me this game won't be amazing. They should have had community votes for the inclusion of pierced, spell-caster wolf-woman nipples. I would vote 'Yes'.

So, they've opened this tumblr full of artwork and image macros: http://mightmagicgame.tumblr.com/

This game's development is definitely coming across as silly, but then again, it is Might & Magic.
These are all fanarts, not something made by the design team.

Every week we are amazed by how M&M inspires a lot of you guys!

To thank you for those amazing creations, we decided to showcase your artworks trough a dedicated official page on Tumblr.

Have a look at a sneak-peak of what YOU created along the years and don’t hesitate any longer to send us your creations here: http://mightmagicgame.tumblr.com !!
