Well, it's a Deluxe Edition, so they don't need to appeal to window shoppers at Gamestop or Walmart. The only people getting this are the people who order it.

I really hope that music isn't representative of the overall soundtrack...

It's merely a song meant to either promote the game or be played in a specific location in the game (by a bard in a tavern, between sips from mug of ale , I presume?).

Hello adventurers!

Today is the World Music Day and to celebrate this event, Ashan bards are preparing a new song for the arrival of the new MMX epic adventure… However they have difficulties in electing the best one, would you help them?

In addition to our new weekly dungeon vote, participate to M&M X Legacy soundtrack vote!

Please note that these are work in progress demos. The selected one will be recorded with professional singers and musicians and integrated within the game if judged satisfying enough.

On hirelings in MMX: https://mightandmagicx-legacy.ubi.com/opendev/blog/post/view/51c46a0c888ef6de10000010

That was terrible. :D

The singer is obviously an amateur, but you can get a good idea of how the songs are supposed to sound like IMO.

Sceptic, Luzur What would you pick? Which one is the most M&My?

song 1: sounds like amateur singer from youtube.. and also sounds more like Skyrim then MM.

song 2: i dunno, will it be a tavern song? or intro? better then the first.

song 3: ....uh, i would go with song 2.

also, you can see the in-game map in the background.

Theoretically, that #3 dragon song could sound good (I'm really catching a vibe of HoM&M IV's soundtrack here - it's pretty much the same style here), but it will never get voted because in this horrible performance it's just painful to listen - quite literally so.

I voted for 3, liked it in a Might and Magic style way for some reason.

ZOMG ! Those songs ! Takes me back to "The forest of unicorns" by Rhapsody. Good times, too bad so many people took it seriously.

Hirelings are pretty interesting though. I like the scout idea if if he doesn't end-up overpowered.

The tavern context of the songs makes more sense - they really do sound like a bunch of drunken peasants singing and playing.
