Additional question; how do I see if a monster is poisoned? Light blowgun is supposed to be all about status effects but have so far not played around with paralysis/poison/sleep etc much.
You'll know a monster is poisoned when they have purple bubbles coming out of their nose/mouth. Also now since damage is show you'll see them tick for 10-20 damage.
After playing for nearly 70 hours just realized that some weapons elementals effects/afflicitons are hidden and I need some armor skill to unlock their full potantial...
Yup. Some weapons need to be awakened. Which is why
Everything I see says Nerg weps are best.
Edit: Phone fucked up and removed calculations from post. Not doing that again.
is not strictly true. The Bone line of SnS has very high damage and a hidden property of 300 Paralysis, which is the highest value for paralysis out of all the SnS weapons and probably the best paralysis weapon in the entire game, also making this one of the best SnS weapons. Slightly lower raw than Nergi, but when awakened the paralysis makes up for it. Also, Nergi SnS has only one level 1 deco slot whereas the Bone SnS has one level 3 deco slot, which is very important.
Damage values are important, but it's not all. Sharpness levels also give you a bonus damage modifier, which is why you should always keep your weapons sharpened at max level when possible. And as I said, decorations are also important. The Legia SnS has a relatively low raw value, but it has a natural white sharpness level, which means that it's still competitive with weapons that have slightly higher raw but only blue sharpness.
