It's rewarding that every run is winnable and usually only my own incompetence is to blame for defeat, and not some shitty RNG.

What are some strats that worked for you? I never got to the point where every run is winnable even without mistakes. I only really knew a few ways to win.

If you don't hate Reddit, their community is quite helpful. You can share the run seed and someone is likely to tell you how to win it, which can reveal some interesting strategy.

Some strats that worked for me:
1. Melting Remnant with heavy focus on killing and reforming your units, this may create some super powerful combinations (for example with Hallowed Halls card). One might need to plan accordingly, to make sure that your important units die every turn, to make them super powerful for later.
2. Might work with any clan: acquire as many Ascend or Descend cards as you can, and crowd good units on one floor in preplanned sequence (tanks on front, killers in the back).
3. Stygian Guard's Titan Sentry (the shark) is a great unit to put on front to wipe out all weaker units. Good Titan Sentry can make the run.
4. Transcendimp may make super powerful run.
5. Spikedriver Colony gathered from Concealed Caverns can be heavily abused - add multistrike, copy many times, they are awesome.
6. With First Hellpact artifact you can make monstrous use of any X priced card, for example Prismal Dust. You can supplement this with any additional source of Ember, for example Ember Forge.
