Something is off with the lighting and colors. Modded Morrowind legit looks more atmospheric than this.
Companies have always had this attitude towards projects like this. Remember Blizzard with DOTA? They gave zero support, never interacted with the dev team, ignored it completely. It was just about 'tolerated'.It's amazing to me that Bethesda would just silently watch this happen and do nothing. Todd Howard is amazingly clueless.
Is it good for your income, i.e. skyrim sales go up? Then fund this fucking thing, throw some grant money at them. Gives you free PR, by the way.
Is it bad for your income? Then shut it down - softly, by offering them jobs with an NDA.
But do something. It can't possibly be sales-neutral for your company.
This disdain for mods from companies is irrational. Start assisting modders who are trying to make you richer.
Let's not confuse Blizzard with Activision-Blizzard.Remember Blizzard with DOTA? They gave zero support, never interacted with the dev team, ignored it completely. It was just about 'tolerated'.
Then Valve turns it into one of the most successful multiplayer games of all time and suddenly Blizzard is pissed and seeking legal action, suddenly they seem interested in doing a MOBA themselves... Fuck you, you ignored it for over a decade, you don't get to suddenly take an interest.

I'd argue that Blizzard was more open and less predatory than Activision-Blizzard. At least that was my impression.I mean there isn't much difference
