This is for people brave enough to admit they haven't seen it all. Don't waste everyone's time telling us how you haven't beaten Rogue Trader or Baldur's Gate 3. I want to hear from people who haven't finished Ultima 7, or Planescape, or Diablo. Hopefully this will inspire people to get off their asses and play better games. I will go first:

1) Ultima Underworld 2

It's mostly the same as the first (excellent) game, but I was disappointed by it being a bunch of separate levels instead of one big interconnected dungeon.

2) Pools of Darkness

I was on a real high with the Gold Box games a couple years ago, and intended to play through the entire Krynn series and Pools series. I got burned out shortly after starting Pools of Darkness, and never got back to it.

3) Might & Magic Book One

I started this after having played a lot of 2 through 5. It's great stuff, but I was missing some of the later additions (in particular the skills), and I didn't stick around to finish it.

First things that come to mind:

Ultima Underworld
I fell in the water.

Eye of the Beholder
My reactions are bad, combat was hard

Dark Sun Shattered Lands
Made weak party, will try 4 Half-giants Fighters next time

1. Curse if the Azure Bonds - I couldn't beat the last fight
2. Ultima 6 - My save got corrupted, and never went back
3. Baldur's Gate 2 - I always throw in the towel at the crazy wizard prison

1. Ultima VII Black Gate

this was my favorite game as a teen, but I didn't know about disappearing keys bug so I never finished it. Nowadays it's too much of a chore as the mechanics are shit and I still know all the NPC interactions by heart, having played it on and off for about a year back then.

2. Dark Sun Shattered Lands

First time I got to the final battle in the early 90's the game bugged out repeatedly. Playing it later I got pwned by black Mastyrials.

3. BG1

I played up to the city of Baldur's Gate at release, then ran out of steam.

Classics I still haven't tried seriously, that's another matter. Wizardry VII would be top of that list.

Fallout 2 - I always break the economy by accident and stop playing.

Wizardry 8 - felt like I had to try too hard to enjoy it. Didn't like the character progression. Got to the tree level after that city with that dumb road, and took a break. Still taking it.

MotB - stopped playing early on, despite seeing its potential. I tried to play it few times recently, but couldn't get through technical issues.

Baldur’s Gate 1/2: The writing is way too cringe, IWD’s design was smarter in keeping all their talentless writers out of the way of the game.
Grimoire: I make progress for a while, then get frustrated by the bullshit UI and drop it. By the time I pick it back up, I lost track and have to start over again.
Underrail: I hear they fixed some of the stuff that annoyed me at launch, like the sludgy speed of movement, but I never mustered up the will to start it again because I remember the starting area feeling like a chore and don’t wanna go thru with it.

Small but great planet of Potatohole
Oblivion - it's too good for me
Skyrim - ditto
Realms of Arkania HD - i can't run it on my computer

Seriously now:
- Pool of Radiance (also any and all Gold Box), only played it for a few hours. I will finish it someday.
- Wizardry 1 (or any earlier than 6 for that matter). I intend too beat it.
- Gothic and I never will beat it since, unfortunately, i can't really play games requiring two hands anymore. Fortunately I never liked action rpgs much.

I'm very into cock and ball torture
Pools of Radiance - for some reason I keep forgetting to sit down and actually go through this game even though it's on my list of essential RPGs to play.

Icewind Dale 2 - I didn't know there was a second one, I beat the first game, had fun, and that was it (also the story concluded in a pretty conclusive manner).

System Shock 1 - this game is really hard for me to get through, also doesn't help that it didn't age all that well (unlike the second game which aged gracefully over the years)

Arcanum- Never had the chance to play it at release, have it on gog but haven't gotten around to it.

VtMB- Same as above, though have a heavily modded playthrough on the back burner. Quite good.

Any of the Gothics- Never played them. Enjoyed Risen 1 and 2 and Elex, will eventually get around to em.

Any of the Realms of Arkania games. Realms of Arkania HD was just announced as the first game came up on my play list, so I skipped it for the time being. But RoA HD its not available on GOG, and it's probably not worth it anyway.
I intend to return to it, even if the first game almost made my old gaming buddy weep when he told me of his party's fate when he didn't bring along all the things needed for a prolonged trek in the wilderness and his characters died from disease and cold.

Ultima 7, any version. Hated the perspective, hated the inventory system, hated the claustrophobic view area, and would probably have hated the combat if I had gotten that far. And if I want to bake bread I can do that in real life, thank you.

Planescape: Torment. Combat so mind numblingly tedious that it would have been better as a pure CYOA.

Dark Sun: Shattered Lands - seems like a popular choice in this thread. For me the game broke completely and refused to launch again, was forced to abandon my playthrough early. Will restart again in the future with a new party.

Geneforge 2-5 - Cool setting and i liked my dialogue options but the amount of tedious trash combat was unbearable. I only had enough willpower to complete the first game.

Wizards and Warriors - severe case of restartitis, kept remaking my party again and again. Backtracking and monk promotion quest annoyed me greatly.

Arcanum: Turned off by bugs and crappy combat when it was released, and haven't really given it a shot since. I bought it a few years ago on GoG and am planning to start it this weekend.
Pool of Radiance: Ruins of Myth Drannor: couldn't complete it because of bugs and got tired of the combats. May give it a shot again one day.
Avernum/Avadon: Games which illustrate "meh" to me. No plans to go back to them or any other Spiderweb Software game.

Arcanum. Can't remember how many times I've installed it, probably 10+ by now. In fact I still have it installed right now. And I will try to play it again because someone in some thread said there's a hot dark elf girl in it. And I will play it again for 30 minutes at most only to inevitably come to a conclusion, "This is worse than Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate II, Icewind Dale, Icewind Dale II, Planescape: Torment, Fallout, and Fallout 2 - why am I playing this?"

Arcanum - I need to get back to trying this again (so I can bounce off it again). I keep trying because I want to love it, but there's something so jank about its presentation and mechanics that I just invariably bounce off it hard. Has arguably the best manual in all of CRPG history though. I don't believe I've ever even made it past Shrouded Hills, tbh.

Wizardry 7 - I really enjoy blobbers up until I don't. At some point I hit my limit and go for a palate cleanser. Well, the problem is, I think Wiz6 is awesome and like to have party continuity, so by the time I'm ready to play Wiz7, I can't remember anything about my party, so go back and play Wiz6, and then...

Fallout 2 - It's just a longer, inferior version of Fallout 1. I always drop off of it, even though I thought F1 was a very tightly designed experience. I should probably make time to rectify this since it has to be better than some of the dog shit I've wasted my time on in the past few years. Maybe that will be a 2025 resolution.

That's a foul lie. Arcanum isn't worse than Icewind Dale !

lol'd. PS:T's combat is retarded easy and served as a proper in-between dialogues. The over 25-year old criticism to it has been usually just as retarded and irrelevant, and there's a whole genre dedicated to appease to that crowd anyway, for which becoming a part of wouldn't have done PS:T any good for many reasons, one being its mechanics.

Jagged Alliance 2 - All over it till its done. Difficulty's good enough to bust your shit dry for every poor decision you make. The dated gameplay is easily overlooked when the plot and setting gleefully shine in brilliance.

NWN 1 - Early 3D jabberwock gfx - basegame plot is pure potato at start and occasional crashing.

Dark Sun SL/WotR - Never got around the GameBoy graphics and derpy interface, though the setting in itself may be within the best the good old untained D&D had to offer.

Wizardry. I played it as a kid, got down to level 10, then got unlucky and had a total party wipe. I never got back to it. It's on my list of games to go back to and defeat.

Baldur's Gate 2. I don't know, I always get a certain ways into the game and just sort of lose interest.

Ultima 6. I never liked how cramped the game window is. But it's another one I'll get to back to.
