Eye of the Beholder 3 - my first cRPG ever, got me so traumatized that I switched to RTS' for years
Arx Fatalis - neve been able to cast a single spell, not even once
Dark Sun: Wake of the Ravager - every time I seriously sit down and try to finish it I get swamped with new bugs and crashes, it never gets old!

Oblivion - I was doing very well with my fighter/mage/thief Aragornian but arrived to the point eventually that i had to open inventory every couple of sword swings to recharch my weapon with azura star. Gameplay became too tedious at that point. Also enemies started to become dmg sponges.

Age of Decadence - Runs poor on my PC . Yes my PC is too weak for AoD. :(

Avernum - Escape From The Pit - No thief to scout or mage to cast invisibility so every encounter your characters are in wrong position and you save + load cycle. Played it year ago, and I cant remember memorable character in this game. Fighters and archers are so rubbish in this game that there is no reason to pick them over mages/priests. Difficulty is very hard on "normal difficulty".

Vogel has an army of simps on his forum who started begging for harder difficulty decades ago. They know every exploit because they replay Spiderweb games masochistically and also they outright suggest the mechanics changes Vogel should implement to make the game harder, so they already have figured out counters to that.

Weird, it reminds me of the underrail sect.

Jagged Alliance 2 - sometimes a game can be so satisfying from the start that I feel I've had a complete experience before I get to the end. I think I've only ever gotten 66% of the way through at most, but if I never play further I would still feel this is a best in class game

Deus Ex - see JA2. In fact it's so satisfying that I'd say it's the greatest of all time, but I've never seen the ending. It's so good that if you even just get past Hong Kong, you've most likely played the greatest stretch of video game ever produced. I started yet another playthrough a couple years ago and still have that save (just before HK, incidentally). If I locked in I could easily finish it, but other things in life always steal my attention. Still and again, the GOAT.

Ultima 7 - the idea of it is nice, and it's a game that shows not only how little open world design has progressed in 30 years, but also how far it has fallen. But the actual play doesn't compel me to go the distance. With a good turn-based system and better inventory management, it would absolutely embarrass modern RPGs, no question.
