I still cannot get off these drugs. Spent last couple days trying to beat NG2 chapter 1 on Very Hard. Just got to chapter 2 and I'm quite exhausted. I don't even wanna try guessing the amount of deaths it took me before I managed to reach first Muramasa shop. That run convinced me to become even more of a cheating bastard and I set weapon upgrade cost to 0. Especially since healing item cost is increasing with every difficulty. I want to be able to afford Talismans of Rebirth more often now too, to help my sanity a little. Since reaching the shop, getting bunch of heals and getting sword and staff to level 3 it has become more manageable. Though still extremely punishing.

Got to chapter 4 on Very Hard and now I definitely need a break. Game spams these golden fiends, or whatever the fuck they're called, way too much. They deal ton of damage and take way too long to die for my taste. I am burning through heals very fast in these fights and don't have enough money to fully restock at next shop. And this is with weapon upgrade cost set to 0. Maybe if I already had Scythe then I could handle it better, as that was my weapon of choice against tankier fucks on previous run. But there's still ways to go until I get it.

I had some Platinum games on my list I've been meaning to try, think I'll do Transformers Devastation for now.

Well I guess I'm a NG2 junkie for real now, because I just had to keep going. I wasn't complaining about girl chapters before because, while not very good, they were short and easy. Well they're not so easy on Very Hard. The dual boss fight with on the first girl (cannot remember her name, it starts with M I think) chapter cost me some nerves but now I am at Rachel chapter and this really fucking sucks. I hate her slow as shit weapon and that boss fight at the end of it just made me take a break because I was very annoyed. Fucker spends most of his time in air and only comes down to do his unblockable dive attacks which I am also terrible at dodging, they hit majority of time. On top of that he has to have tanky minions too. I think these chick chapters pretty much guarantee I'll never be bothering with Master Ninja mode. A man has to know his limits. Or hopefully the Black mod eventually gets updated to allow skipping of the tits chapters.

Ok what is the trick to this mass Rasetsu fight in "A Tempered Gravestone"? Stuck on it for over a week and running out of patience. Is this just a badly designed encounter or am I missing some weakness of these fucks? I love fights against mass human enemies, no matter how brutal they get. Always up for trying them again and again. But when there's a lot of big fucks like these involved it's not fun.

Use the Lunar Staff and just jump from UT to UT, the spinning variant. It's pretty easy that way. If you try and brawl with them it gets ugly fast. Use ninpo to get out of spots or collect your bearings.

Yeah I just managed to perform enough UTs to kill these fucks about 15 minutes ago. I'm not good at performing these 360 moves, tend to fuck them up a lot. It was still close, as the last remaining one got my health to almost zero with no heals left.

Lunar Staff in general is my favorite weapon, I am nowhere near as good with others. It's the only weapon with which I can perform Izuna drops consistently. Jump attack into Izuna is abused a lot by me against human enemies and gajas. Loved Flails on Normal and Hard but on Very Hard they seem kind of weak.
