No one will learn from this whole sad story, and here is why.
We now know what happened. A company of douchebags had a shitty idea for a game and got picked up by by an even greater dounce at Sony who needed games for his shitty console. The whole thing was built around a clever deception, that number of permutations of a simple theme equates to meaningful variation. (truth is I can generate 10^inf versions of a shitty theme and it will still be a shitty theme).
Anyway, hype ensued and they got a trillion $ in preorders from douchebag gamers who did not / could not pay attention to the videos which were generic shit. The game came out and was horrible shit, the developer went into psychotherapy came back and re invested a couple millions in making the game work and not suck as hard as it did initially.
2019: Everyone is back to hype and giving interviews and the head douchebag probably has some more AAA+ games (fiascos) in him, like No Mans Sky 2 which will probably be even more mathematically permutated shit.
