We all know that Sean stated that in-game housing might come at a later stage after the release of NMS, this is still the case and possibility. I have learned from my source that the Alien NPC race houses that already exist
range from small dwellings to futuristic like homes and castles.
Every race has a leader and you yourself can become a leader of a race, if you make friends with an alien after learning its language, you will then have an option and so the alien of marriage.
Male and female marriages and same sex marriages are possible.This opens up the possibility of you having the home which was Aliens home.There are also other ways of acquiring the house.
You can ofcourse carve out a nice big cave and make it your home with furnishes that you can buy and create by resources.
