In my country the system operates YOU
If they do put it in it would be nice to be able to summon monsters to populate it, or to kidnap hot female villagers and put them on the rack, so you can whp their normal mapped nipples and make them hold your sword in your cameltoe.

The issue with Cyrodiil shopping...

I'm baffled...does no one share my concern over the changes made in Oblivion to the shop sytem of Morrowind?

Back in the day, when I used to frequent Balmora temple for a little booty sellage, it was possible for the shop keeper to accumulate money from the sales they made to me...and therefore, free up a lot of cash that I could get back buy selling them my recently aquired treasures...HOWEVER...

...it appears this is no longer the case in Oblivion...

...as of yet I've only found keepers with £1200 cash max, and on top of that neither do they accumulate money as they sell items to me, nor does their money decrease as they purchase my items...

...tell me, what do I do with my scandalously expensive items? What if this £130000 war axe isn't really my style, being a witch...how do i sell it? What's going on?! In Morrowind I used to pop over to the temple, rustle up a lovely new enchanted bow and then sell all my accumulated booty in return for the money I just spent on the bow...

...where did that go?

No because they destroyed any reason for people to buy things for merchents, merchant inventory is leveled to the character level.

And even if they only have 1200 of limite you must realize they have infinite money, 1200 is ONLY going to be the maximun they will offer per item, considering you have bandits with orcish and glass items you dont have to bother youself much to get money ... just raid a dungeon and you get more money that you can possible need.

Only enchanting can create a need for money since the stones will run out and eventually you need to buy charges but then when you have glass wearing bandits.

The problem of "not being your style" does not exist because you can find items that are your style raining from the skies, adding to the fact there are much less diferent armors and weapons and with the "main 3" weapon types you can easy use a dagger until you find a katana.

Oblivion economy is far more broken that Morrowind was ...

Ok, I see some of your points...but I still have issues with bits and peices...for instance....

I will presumably find lots of items that are my style along the way, but that little happiness asside, what do I do with the £130000 war axe I hypothetically find? It seems such a waste to leave it lying in my house, unloved and unbloodied...

Also, they way the shops work just isn't really very realistic...I mean, I tried to sell say...40 bear hides...and because their cost came to over £800 (the merchant's limit) he wouldn't buy them off me...

BUT... when I sold 20, and then another 20 to him...he was happy to pay....it's a nice way around a merchant's tight fist, but it isn't really very realistic is it...

anyway...

I suppose all I can do is complain because I'm stuck with it now...but any idea if there are characters with more than £1200? or do they pop up when you progress in your particular guild?

I actually thought that the shopping problem was a bug at first...it seemed so...unlikely...

anyway, thanks for your help.

GCM: What was different about developing this title for the PC and for the 360?
Todd Howard: The content in the game is the same, but the interfaces differ and the rendering pipelines are different. We use the same source art on both, but how they get drawn in-game differs.

Interesting. Mr. Howard, can we get a follow-up on this?

Different use of the word "interface" there. He's talking about the API sounds like.

So, he's saying the PC game is different, because you play it on a PC? :D

Meaning XBox DirectX and PC DirectX are different interfaces.
