Sorry for that last bit. I don't think he's a cunt. He's just all too reminiscent to me of the typical ES poster who looks for something, anything, everything to bitch about just because he likes the sound of his fingers clicking the keyboard. And whose case of attention defecit disorder is too severe to allow him to follow the conversation.

Now Pete Hines, there's a cunt for you.

MQ <--- back on track
I'm gonna tell your mom. Now leave that ES shit where it belongs and come join the party.

Some Guy who got to play TES4 said:
"I've never been a fan of the series
truthfully since the botch attempt at TESIII:Morrowind. The game uses
a lot of incredible effects from the engine, and as Grendel has said
it could be because of the game running directly off of the HDD, but
the slow down and motion sickness is back in full force.

Though they have at least fixed one of the biggest problems I had with
Morrowind. You swing your sword at an enemy and if it hits them, it
actually hits them, no more of that dumb stat rolling of the dice type
crap. They've actionified the game and you can see it. Even at this
point it's a hell of a lot better. At least the combat is. I doubt I
pick it up, especially if it still have framerate problems, but at
least they've tried to fix some things."

I know reading some responses to this will bring me some humor.

So, Pete Hines got in my way. Now I wish to play my small part in humiliating him every chance I get. Since I can't have Oblivion, I will make humiliating Pete Hines my obsession (at least until this post is complete and I get it off my chest --- then I probably won't obsess over it again for a few more days when I think of some new and more outrageous way of expressing my hatred for the impotent little snake). If anyone has some webspace they'd like to share I'd even go so far as to create a "Pete Hines Sucks" website and everyone who joined the "Pete Hines Sucks" fanclub could post the link in their sig and frequent TES forums just to be a thorn in the little prick's side.

Now, that my friends, THAT is why some people should have to write an essay and take an intelligence test before being allowed to use the internet.

If there was one, you and your alter-ego Frankie wouldn't quite scrape in.

Is everyone here that much of a cunt?

I don't like clicking links on the Codex when the moderators themselves make 'trick links' to goatse because being an idiot on the internet by linking to 'surprise' disgusting pictures on the internet is apparently very funny.

I wish I had Tim Allen's famed Omega 13 Device so I could activate it, go back in time and NOT click that link.

OMG You actually clicked it! Oh man, that was funny. Another newbie goatse.cx-ored, another notch on the belt. :D

Yes. Soon you too will become one. Then you will join our "cuntface brotherhood," and then you will be allowed to trick other newbies by posting links to disgusting pictures (clicking on that link I posted is the first step in the initiation ritual - we are sort of like a fraternity, except without the parties and the greek letters and the gang-bangs and the beer bongs and whatever other crap goes on in fraterneties).

When I registered here I apparently missed the small print that said you have to be in junior high to post. The maturity level here is staggering. "I've linked to a dirty picture, giggle, giggle. snort. snort." Either most of you are in junior high OR most of you are unnattractive geeks with no sexual experience, so the links are the best you can do. Either way, grow up!

You don't have to physically be in junior high, just your maturity level. :D

I'd actually prefer if we had more of this kind of game coverage.

Why can't more fanboys be like that?

I bet she's not even a gamer, and that was an "I'll do it because I love you thing" for her boyfriend. Like anal sex. Still, that's tons hotter than when Romero upgraded Killcreek and put her in Playboy.

Let me briefly explain why I have developed a true and healthy hatred for Pete Hines. Honestly guys, I really mean hatred.
[...]
What I loathe, what I despise, what churns the hatred in me more than anything else is the COMBINATION of ineptitude and arrogance --- i.e. Pete Hines.
[...]
Had Bethesda's extraordinarily arrogant and inept Public Relations Department been upfront with us from day one --- if they had a policy of being upfront with their customers in general --- I would've sensed danger long ago and taken the damn week off much earlier than this.
[...]
Oh, and Vodoo1man ... while your image was truly vile, I really think you're being way too kind to Pete.
MQ

When I read the official reason for the delay, all I could think was that Pete and Todd were sat around in bed together on a saturday morning formulating this crap. As much as you hate Pete, I'm obsessing about Todd, he's the gamer, he's the one with the vision, he's the geek running the plumbest assignment in RPG geekdom (what are the laws like for stalking in Maryland)?.

I felt alarm bells ringing mid October, no system specs, no happy devs posting more and more on the boards, no mention of how close they felt they were getting.

Nov 1st I actually asked a friend in the know if a game could go gold three weeks before being shipped out of the door, he reckoned it could go gold a week before, but by then I 'knew' something was wrong, and was just waiting for the crash.

As for 'that' image, I think it's kind'a like the ES fishy stick welcome for RPGcodex.

Have you noticed how nazi like the ES forums are getting, if you get a warning, no posts allowed for a certain times, even hinting obliquely about piracy will get the thread locked, no blaming MicroShits 360 in case of flamewars, and insta bans for some topics. The moderators (as in moderation, as in no extremes), are sounding like hired goons, and Franckie (who I loath as much as you do Pete Hines) sounds like he's in seventh heaven.

He is correct. the humour is about the same as kicking the nerd in school and laughing. there is no humour, just bad intent.

Microsoft wouldn't let Beth release without major increases to frame rate - Beth now have to further optimise the game and delete stuff if necessary - and I bet it won't be graphics capability they delete.
Might have to be. Soft shadows gone from the Microshams 360, but kept on the PC
That would shut the console kids up... (and yea, I know it's not only kids who buy consoles).

I watched a money report on the Xbox360 the other day, Microsloth lost a few billion on the original Xbox, spent a couple of billion on the 360 and launch. The program tested it on some control groups; the mothers weren't impressed with the multimedia capabilities as they already had DVD drives, and their PCs could do the rest, and the kids (who were impressed with the graphics), maintained that they thought the PS3 would be better.

Perhaps Bethesda should jump in bed with Sony, because missing the MicroShit launch is bound to piss the Bill Gates empire off, and maybe lose them a (guessed at) undisclosed bonus.

The console players know the PS3 does better because the console main market is in Japan and Xbox had little support there.

Also they know history, Sega released several technical superior consoles that never made much impact because people rather get a Nintendo because of the game library.

I had to laught with the cluess Xbox players learned that Squarenix was going to release Final Fantasy XI for Xbox 360 not realizing that is not only a MMORPG but also a PS2 game.

It's also a PC game.

That's what Xbox is, and what Xbox 360 will become. A port system.

As regards the so called fans at TES forums. There is very few, in the true sense of the word. Most of that place consists of little cliques and braindead miscreants like that Frankie fuckwit. The sensible people don't last long there, or get frustrated with the sheep mentality and move on. Heaven forbid any decent disscussion about the TES games that go contrary to said cliques...

What a shithole. If I was a dev I'd be embarrassed to be associated to the place.

Baghdad Pete sucks too :)

Yes and no. I have participated in some very good, critical and deep discussions over there, and there is something to be said for the absence of endless namecalling and goatse post. On the other hand the mindless Fanboydom can get very tiring, oh yes. You just have to pick your threads. The last few days have been some of the worst i have seen, though...

The Elder Scrolls forums used to be alright up until about 3/4 months ago when the fanboys started flooding them. Since then the average IQ has dropped to something well below 80.

Case in point: the guy who posted a couple of days ago in a "size of Oblivion" thread that everyone else were idiots and that 16 square miles meant a 16 mile by 16 mile area. Oh yeah, and the guy who said that many swords weighed over 100 pounds, and that he personally had lifted a 220 pound sword.
