Case in point: the guy who posted a couple of days ago in a "size of Oblivion" thread that everyone else were idiots and that 16 square miles meant a 16 mile by 16 mile area.
Hehe, but look on the bright side: if you ever go into real estate, you know where to find your first client.

Oh yeah, and the guy who said that many swords weighed over 100 pounds, and that he personally had lifted a 220 pound sword.

As regards the so called fans at TES forums. There is very few, in the true sense of the word. Most of that place consists of little cliques and braindead miscreants like that Frankie fuckwit. The sensible people don't last long there, or get frustrated with the sheep mentality and move on. Heaven forbid any decent disscussion about the TES games that go contrary to said cliques...

What a shithole. If I was a dev I'd be embarrassed to be associated to the place.

Baghdad Pete sucks too :)
Yes and no. I have participated in some very good, critical and deep discussions over there, and there is something to be said for the absence of endless namecalling and goatse post. On the other hand the mindless Fanboydom can get very tiring, oh yes. You just have to pick your threads. The last few days have been some of the worst i have seen, though...

yeah, I do recall the odd decent thread there with some deep discussion, the kind that even the devs would (or should) appreciate as feedback about the the game etc.

It's a rare thing lately though. I just haven't got the time read through all the shit the braindead masses there post.

Yes.

You know, I find it funny when someone provides with links that back their claims and yet instead of acepting the fact those people know what they are talking about they continue to spread their ignorance.

Just read abovementioned thread, had a lot of fun :).
I just love when random people hop into the thread, read first post, don't bother reading further and post incredulous:
"WTF? Sword weighting 5 pounds max? 10 minimum, and twohanders must weight at least 20!"

Of course, if you happen to buy a shitty replica that you cannot use anyway, it puts your opinion above people who dedicated all their live studying and using real swords from middle ages, and replicating them with meticulous accuracy.
