Pathfinder: Wrath
Maybe there are still sensible people in this company, leaving one by one. They have enough cred to go anywhere else they want anyway.

Learned some things about what happened. It's nothing dramatic.

This seems to be a batch of Paradox games - the first one is Stellaris:

One might hazard a guess that "Project Replay" could be the RPG focussed on replayability.

Thanks, that's helpful information. Maybe "replay" is a reference to the radio stations in Fallout: New Orleans?

Underrail Topic :

I don't think that even Tim Cain (along with all the help he would want) could make another game with such a tight world, interactivity and feel.

Well, there is only one way to find out.

Boyarsky Interview :

What's your dream game that you'd like to make? And when are we getting Bloodlines 2 or Arcanum 2? What Troika game would you like to make a sequel to the most?

I'm happy to say that I'm currently working on my dream game.

Previously on Obsidian :
http://www.obsidian.net/jobs/open-positions/art/930-lead-character-artist

Obsidian Entertainment is looking for talented, self-motivated Lead Character Artist to join our growing team of RPG developers.

The Lead Character Artist position requires a solid understanding of current AAA-quality art, consistent character design, art pipelines, and current game console criteria and their limitations on memory and performance. This person understands the value of the production schedule and how to fit project goals within it. This is a hands-on position, by which he or she will set an example through exceptional asset creation, understanding current character art technologies, tools pipelines and interdepartmental dependencies. The Lead Character Artist will help to implement required production methods to guarantee the highest quality result, in an efficient and timely manner.

Experience with Epic's Unreal Engine 4

This is for Tim and Leonard's game.

So Tim Cain and Boyarsky are working on the secret project that Urquhart frequently mentions which is an Unreal4 Engine FPS RPG with the interactivity levels of Arcanum / Underrail in a non-fantasy setting. Why are we not onboard yet?

Hi guys, it's true - Eric no longer works at Obsidian, and it was completely amicable. He just had a baby and is going to be home with family. It's possible he may do some more writing in the future though, you never know. :) We wish him nothing but the best of luck. I personally enjoyed working with Eric over the years and wish him and his family nothing but the best!

It might be just me, but seems a bit contradictory to quit your job when you have a baby.

Unless you're filthy rich, of course.

Considering they won't confirm any details of PoE 2 (or even that it's in production... wink wink), we don't know.

They have at least one Tranny writer working on it. Best case scenario Matt Mclean wrapped up his work too and came back to lead PoE2. But... I bet it's Carrie Patel.

Not if his wife's job (and savings, maybe?) can support all three of them for at least a few years, then he can afford to be a house-husband.

Who is lead narrative designer on poe 2?
Occam's Razor says Carrie Patel, but maybe Matt McLean or Paul Kirsch could be the ones to handle it.

I really hope Carrie Patel is actually good. I liked the quests and plot in POE a ton more than the dialogue. I want to be hopeful for her but from direct quotes of Obsidian management, it sounds like they prioritize physical diversity over talent sometimes.
