Ok I got the last $250 slot. Bidding will start at $500 for anyone that wants to take it off me! :troll::smug:

Johnny-come-lately is what you are ;) ... I pledged for it on the first day like a true Bro even without our game-designer diva MCA on board:bro:!!

Heh, I actually was about the 10th last. I had no money and no compatible CC card until now. I'm actually still waiting for my card but in desperation I clicked on pledge and was amazed to see that it still accepted my old Amazon account details from years ago which had long expired card details. The fuckers at the bank told me it would take 6 more days for my card to arrive...6 days to save my marriage, find food for my boy to eat and scrape up the money. The race is on!

Uhh, it's at 2,079,552 already, excluding paypal. Are we pretty much there now?

I'm not even sure what he's trying to troll about anymore, since they reached 2.1 million. 2.5 I guess, or passing DFA (which I agree probably won't happen).

If they get to 2.5 million (which seems likely) they might as well anouce a tool-set.

Just saying.

I'd like a toolset as well, but I'd rather that be spent on MOAR content in game. Maybe with Wasteland 3 they can add a toolset.

So this "pledge" thing...

Are you able to withdraw and add as much as you want until the kickstart closes? Are there conditions that both parties have to agree to? How does it work?

Well, I'd only want a toolset if it were something of quality, and fairly usable. The only well-designed toolset I've seen released for an RPG was for NWN1, and basically all of the development efforts were focused on that. I'd rather they make a great single player game, and then focus on a toolset if they have time/money afterwards. I mean, it would be cool, but it's clear that to make it good is a major investment.

You pledge the money. Say 15$. This will bring you to Amazon where you pass your credit card info. Congratulations! You're a backer.
Now, if you want to change the amount or even withdraw the pledge, you just click Manage my Pledge. Your money WON'T be taken UNTIL KS ends. When it ends, your money went away.

Also if you use PayPal the MONEY IS TAKEN IMMEDIATELY. Which is why KS doesn't use that service and uses Amazon, because the payment will be taken only after the KS date has arrived and they met the goal.

However I remember someone saying that you can't unpledge under a reached goal.

Yes. W2 goal was 900k. Let's say they have 900,014$ and you want to take your 15$ back. You can't because it will go under their goal. They have over 2mln now, so you can take your pledge easily.

Why would you even withdraw a pledge from Wasteland 2 in the first place?
