So fucking what. Afraid the combat actually requires your actually playerskill instead of pointing and clicking in tbs/rts combat? Like in you know, Vampire Bloodlines.
Shooters/action games? I've played more than you simpleton ever get the chance to.
Tough guy.

How many projects does Obsidian have, both announced and not? Is another expansion for NWN 2 still possible?

I don't even see the appeal of adding new non-epic content to majority of the consumers who want MOAR numbers and less spirit metre. How epic you wanna get? Lvl 30-40?

Don't look at me. Starting as an uber character eliminates that drive to improve your character. Epic levels are pure shit(that ruined MotB for me) and I was always seeing another expansion as a separate, new adventure, possibly beginning in the mid-high levels.

Please explain to me how this game sounds any less retarded than Fallout 3 or Mass Effect.
It's from Obsidian, uses a setting that forces the devs to think outside the sword & orc box, plus it has combined Mitsoda & MCA power encompassed. How does that sound retarded compared to soil corrosion and blue alien sex?

I'll give credit to the unique setting, but using a setting like this also has its drawbacks. It's much more limiting compared to a more standard RPG setting.

And aside from the setting, what else about the game sounds even remotely interesting? The dialog system and dialog both look like shit so far(look at the example convo in the scans), the choices seem mostly superficial and are equivalent to what I would find in a game like Splinter Cell (use explosives, use gun, use hand-to-hand), and they've made it perfectly clear that they're trying to emulate games like FO3, Oblivion, and ME. I also find it funny that people trashed ME because it gives you the opportunity to play as a Jack Bauer-esque character, and when the same thing is mentioned in Alpha Protocol, everybody is "wow this sounds really fun".

Yet another example proving that the Codex is full of bias and lacks all objectivity.

Goddamn, this sounds like it could be a shitload of fun.

Imagine how fun it would be with a, you know, *interesting* setting.

I take it you don't like the spy theme then? I'm more than happy with any developer that tries to go a bit beyond the same old tired fantasy stuff. And with tons of spy movies, novels and all the shit from history one could easily come up with plenty of nice angles, missions and side quest stuff.

I, for one, am bloody happy to see an (action) RPG in a modern day setting for once, and the spy genre does lend itself well to RPG's. Even if it turns out to be half-decent I'll still be all over it, due to the lack of Meltaguns and magic missiles... and Mini-nuke crossbows.

Nay good sir. What i am suggesting that this will not even be a half-good game. It will be a buggy, unprocessed poiece of ugly crap that will require a freakin' alienware rig from the future to run at a half-decent pace.

But hey, it might have dumb dialogue and OMG OMG OMG OMG the ability to 'influence' party members.
