I HATE THIS GAME BEFORE I KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT!

NO, I HATE IT MORE KNOWING EVEN LESS!

Too many people confuse having high standards with behaving like an edgy teenager.

Their last product was white march, why would you expect a drastic change of design and higher quality levels suddendly a few months later. Unless its a completely different team, but i think the guy doing the presentation was designer on POE already.Looking at the screenshot its more than likely the same RTS system.

So it's like Adra... But not, because it's purple instead of green.
Completely original!

I for one am excited that this has not been hyped from the start, and that there is no big name connected - maybe it will actually work out for Obsidian this time. Either way, we always have Numenera to look forward to - years of incline and all that. No great loss if this ends up sucking.

I for one can't wait for us to find out who the lead dev is, so the 'dex goes full 'sperg on his/her previous projects.

That information is contained in the OP if you look carefully.

Could you BE more cryptic?

This guy is a mix of a 40k Inquisitor and an Endless Legends Cultist, only a bit more tame.

At least impaling is in! Good news.

I'd be very surprised if you could condemn people to impaling. Usually being evil in todays rpgs is to request more money as reward after a quest.

I'm being cryptic because I'm getting tired of repeating myself. Duraframe300 has been talking about Brian Heins secret project at Obsidian since almost the day it started. I guess I figured it would have sunk in by now: http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/inde...-discussion-thread.84849/page-10#post-3126536

And since this apparently hasn't sunk in either, let me repeat that there's no way a game that has been in development since early 2014 and is supposed to be coming out this year could be made by the PoE team.

Very tame crucifixion, its more like an uni student prank than the real roman deal....

Then you should study the real roman deal, because crucifixion has rarely been more but what you see on this picture, and the pain is fucking real.

You go against the orders of the Dark Lord, you become the leader of the resistence.
You want the Dark Lord's place so... guess it... you will become the leader of the resistence to take his powers.
Plot twist, you go to the resistence but betray them at the last fight with the dark lord to take his place.
You are a cuck of the Dark Lord, do everything to appease him but... guess it... end being betrayed because the Dark lord is a dick, you become the leader of the resistence anyway.

Sorry guys, want to keep positive but a company that delivers a fake trial and recycle said fucking fake trial on another game has a fishy reputation for taking choice and consequence seriously. I expect heavy doses of railroading, maybe they manage to make the setting cool and be worthy playing for that but I don't think an evil RPG is anything but not revolutionary without choice. Obsidian will have to go really non linear to make this one interesting or it will be PoE 1,5 with a gimmick.

Sounds like a shitty new vegas rehash.

No, the real question is: What Obsidian are we talking about? The Obsidian that delivered F:NV and MotB, or the Obsidian that delivered PoE filled with political correctness to the brim, and doesn't have CA, etc? Things have changed a lot in the last years. Saying that Obsidian did something good six or nine years ago with a completly different team is not reassuring.

PoE filled with political correctness? I don't think so, why do you say that? (apart from that backer incident)

There are SJW types in the game, but you can just murder them. It's your choice.

You cant side with the only one decent fellow in the game - Lord Harond. All your NPCs condemn him, not a single one supports him. You cannot bring back his fucktoy back to him, you're forced to betray your pledge to fellow noble. The game basically denies you the holy right to be Eoran Gilles de Rais.

True, and I have complained about this lack of option on Obsidian's forum. But it's the only good example you 'll find, I think.

On the other hand, you can sacrifice companions to gain more power, you can feed Arnhelm with peasants to gain more power etc. So I don't believe your (good) example is enough to tip the scales.

That is what I'm afraid, a rehash of New Vegas + edgy grimdarkness "OMG, I can impale people! This gaem is so evul!"

From VD's review:

Take the brothel quest, for example. You’re told that someone’s causing troubles. Since you don’t have anything better to do, you agree to look into it, which in this case means walking around until attacked by a trash mob. Then you enter every house until you trigger the right scripting event and talk to the leader who offers a peaceful solution, which seems out of place after being attacked on sight, but whatever. Turns out the leader is upset that the brothel increased the prices and now the commoners can’t get exotic ass and pussy.

Let it sink for a moment. A local faction is attacking people on sight because the prices in a brothel are too high for the common folk. Who writes this shit?

Now, you are not gonna find many quests like that, but you surely have a carttonish world view of things. The evil guys are carbon copy characters. They all look the same, talk the same.
