"This game where you play as an SS officer managing an extermination camp is CLEARLY a vector for SJW Cultural Marxist propaganda. I'm wise to your ways, purple-haired scum!"

It’s the way they present things. Only a leftist SJW fanatic would describe a world controlled by a illegitimate government as a victory of the forces of evil. Don't insult our intelligence with shitty writing.

PoE filled with political correctness? I don't think so, why do you say that? (apart from that backer incident). There are SJW types in the game, but you can just murder them. It's your choice.

From VD's review:

Take the brothel quest, for example. You’re told that someone’s causing troubles. Since you don’t have anything better to do, you agree to look into it, which in this case means walking around until attacked by a trash mob. Then you enter every house until you trigger the right scripting event and talk to the leader who offers a peaceful solution, which seems out of place after being attacked on sight, but whatever. Turns out the leader is upset that the brothel increased the prices and now the commoners can’t get exotic ass and pussy.

Let it sink for a moment. A local faction is attacking people on sight because the prices in a brothel are too high for the common folk. Who writes this shit?

Now, you are not gonna find many quests like that, but you surely have a carttonish world view of things. The evil guys are carbon copy characters. They all look the same, talk the same.

Pussy rates inflation is a serious problem, shitlord!
Why not making some Adra sex dolls? Get the soul of a sheep on it and you will have the perfect woman.

Now this is constructive reasoning, Obsidian should hire you to write quest solutions.

Players interact with the population of the populace to inspire loyalty, disgust, or fear as they roam the world as an officer in Kyros’ forces, empowered to act as both judge and executioner.

Too much self-importance. Sounds like another game in which the player is a chosen one type.

I'm curious about this inspiring disgust thing... Will the player be able to eat and turn into a fat neckbeard fedora basement dweller striver PUA?

You can fight those people, you don't have to take their side. It is especially pleasing that their leader begs for his life just before the killing blow.

Is Lord Raedric cartoonish? He is a great character!

Based on the screens, it looks like that the angle is way too low, PoE had the same problem so looks like Obsidian is not learning animal.

Also, I was the one arguing on the Obsidian forums that advising Harond's niece to go back to her uncle should not be considered an evil option but a rational one. But if you want to call my views cartoonish, fine.

Did someone make the joke about The Man/Tranny in the High Pillar already? No? Good. Yes? Insert gif of a man sitting through a windshield here.

The premise alone might make this the second Obsidian game coming to a 75%-85% sale near me.

Yeah, regarding funding, the more important question is who owns the IP?

Tyranny™ is a trademark of Paradox Interactive. All rights reserved.
it's on the official site.

Trademark isn't the same thing as IP.

I assume, however, that Paradox do own this IP, for the reason that Obsidian already have a fantasy IP of their own and they'd be better off negotiating for better royalties rather than trying to hold onto this one as well.

The game will be great, because it has something in common with:
Fable
and
Dragon age origin
"Storytelling"
