Is this intentional trolling or just a coincidence?

Won't be WoT, but still.

That's just a coincidence IMO. The correct WoT picture is an 8 shaped snake, not just a circle:

Guys, Ouroboros is a symbol of an endless cycle or rebirth.

A word that fits the .X.XX.XX '.-is-vowel, X-is-consonant' pattern is 'eternity'.

Except the y at the end.
Vowels: a, e, i, o, u
Consonants: everything else, including y
Y is both, although it is commonly cited as a consonant. However its use here is most certainly as a vowel sound.
I agree with you that here it is used as a vowel sound, but, in this context, we're not talking about sounds but about letters.

I'm also thinking about a kickstarter, given how Obsidian seems in control of the announcement and of the video recording. If Sawyer is heading this I wouldn't have put the countdown into an ourobouros, when it gets to 1 it coould begin again with the four, into something that never ends to happen, typical Josh's curse. Sorry Obsidian, it had to be done.

Vowel is a phonetic concept that has been dumbed down to letters to try and educate the pop-a-mole population. :decline:

I so hope it would end up being something popamole. The shitstorm of butthurt will be priceless.

Anyway, since 4 is out, that could be a Skyrimjob spinoff, like F3NV.

I agree completely with you. In phonetic languages vowels are extremely easy to define and identify and that is the end of it in those cases. Unfortunately, English is not a phonetic language, so you have to mess around with all manner of bullshit to identify/exlpain/define what a vowel is and hot that relates to letters. In the matter of trying to make sense of what Obsidian's code may mean, it makes more sense to use the hard and fast rule of considering just A, E, I, O and U vowels than to mess around with all the intricate relationship between spoken and written language.

I don't think someone here has brought it up yet, the T is the 20th number on the alphabet
I don't think someone here has brought it up yet, the T is the 20th number on the alphabet. That would make it X.XX.20X. But why the two Xs in the middle, if it was to be a date?

Hm, good train of thought. So the Xs mean a letter, which stands for their place for the alphabet.

X.XX.XX
X.XX.TX = X.XX.20X
The next one should be:
X.XX.TM = X.XX.2013 or X.XX.TL = X.XX.2012

Of course it is possible that they give us the day or the month first. B.AA.TM is 2/11/2013 for example.

I find it more likely that there is no "riddle" and no "solution", it's just Josh trolling to keep the hype ball in the air. But please continue, I do so enjoy watching your DaVinci Code shenanigans

I wonder if this is possibly parts from the 7 Dwarves project that they pitched but no Publisher would touch with a 100' pole?
Seven Dwarves was a multiplatform action RPG and, from what I've heard, based on Grimms' fairy tales and we haven't seen any reference to that here. I would guess Defiance or North Carolina (unless they're both one and the same).

Please move this to Console popamole until further notice. :flamesaw:

Can we assume you had good reason to put the thread in this forum specifically?

And what's up with the celtic quotes?

Bard's Tale 4? :eek:

What is the distinction exactly? If it comes out on PC and on consoles does it go in popamole?

I honestly don't know what it is, but I am 99% sure it is an RPG so I put it in the computer RPG forum.

I wasn't trying to cause any confusion, if you want to move it, move it.

Of course , if its released on consoles its goes into popamole, and worse if there some asian involved , even the slightest, it goes in the infamous weaboo jrpg den. No matter how deep and tactical the game is, how good the writing, how sophisticated it is ,a multiplatform game, despite people spending more than 80 hours on it aka skyrim , will always be deemed inferior to an indie pc exclusive turd(frayed knight, eschalon etc..) . So i advise you to heavily apologize before releasing your next game, as if its ported on consoles ipad, xbox live and such ,some very vocal people(they have authority here since they managed to get us forum splits) here will never forgive you.
Pretend it was to pay for your old mother surgery, pretend you have ten kids to feed, and you cant do other wise ,say that you are a misceant unworthy to post here , and you game may avoid some flaming .

Pretty much they had some intern type in random stuff.
It's like when you hand a blonde a piece of paper with "turn me over" written on both sides, which will keep her occupied for days.

That's very correct, it's impossible to do precise cursor aiming with a gamepad, meaning that RPG's which excel with the ability of a point-and-click mouse interface (with all the different spells, skill points and buttons on a small UI) are always going to be better. Any RPG designed for both keyboard/mouse and gamepad control would have to do away with almost all the complicated character creation sheets and huge skill/attribute systems of "old school" RPG's, because of how monotonous it would be pressing the directional buttons to allocate stats. Also not just the UI, but directional movement on a gamepad always lends itself to "action" games, rather than a mouse where you can precisely click on what type of attack you wish to make, and your exact target, meaning tactics. I suppose it could be sold if PS3's and 360's were bundled with a USB mouse (and keyboard too, for dungeon crawlers).
