I'll still play Wizard because fuck it, Wizard.

Did I miss something -- is this the planet's/world's name where Eterntiy takes place? Or is it just a continent? Don't recall reading it before.
I think this is the first time we've used it in an update. People in this part of the world commonly call the world "Eora". This general region is called The Eastern Reach by colonists.
Update is online. It's about chanters and priests. Also short videos.

J.E. Sawyer said:PoE's priests are designed for people who enjoy support characters. I've noticed a trend in support class design in recent years to load support characters with offensive abilities to rival other classes while retaining (or improving) all of their support abilities. I think it makes the classes less distinctive and in the end the people who want to pump out damage are still going to skip something that's an "off-striker" class. I don't think every class has to appeal to every player.

Norwaech is the northernmost erldom in the Dyrwood. It's ruled by the Rafendr (RAH-ven-dur) family (arms: party per pale vert and azure overall a tower argent).
An exceptionally poor image of Cadegund(
Suspiciously big feet. Not the most flattering attire imo. Hoping for a better portrait, or poor old Cadegund will likely be killed as soon as i meet her)
Dare i say it - Bryyy for sure will be all over me again like a rat up a drainpipe - but thus far, the makeup of the party i still find a little surprising. It genuinely does resmble what i could only describe as a miscellaneous sample of an English gay pride march on new year's eve. Not quite my admittedly stereotypical idea of an adventuring party at all. I'm hoping the last character is going to be that Austrian fella who's just won the Eurovision song contest, then we'd have the complete set)
California, it has a lot to answer for at times imo.
Fair enough, i suppose if that's what the people really want, up to them. I think they don't want that, but maybe they don't realise it. For me, it's a shame there seem to be no...well, how can i put it without being moaned at...? I can't, so i'll leave it there. Not allowed an opinion in this day and age.
Very first reply.

I guess Obsidian is getting their fair share of Bioware's fanbase.
Big meat.Suspiciously big feet? Wtf does that mean?
I think this guy's unique fetishes wouldn't make him feel at home even with the BSN crowd.I guess Obsidian is getting their fair share of Bioware's fanbase.
Obsidian wasn't kidding about the IE games homage.BAdler said:Presumed dead by many,AmaunatorEothas is (or was) the god of renewal and light.
J.E. Sawyer said:SeekDWay said:Mr. Sawyer, as someone who really enjoyed playing melee or combat bards in older DnD editions, I would like to ask if we will be able to build Chanters as passable melee combatants ?
Yes, they are fair melee combatants. They don't have many abilities directly related to melee, but they have good health and accuracy.
J.E. Sawyer said:xsikal said:Slightly off-topic, but has it been confirmed whether or not we will be able to use custom portraits for ourselves and NPCs?
Otherwise, sounds good. The chanter is very reminiscent of an everquest bard (with chant effects lasting a short time after a new chant has begun, allowing twisting). Hopefully, it won't be quite as intensive as that game's implementation (every four seconds, switch song), as that would be very difficult in a party-based game.
Definitely custom portraits for your own characters and I think (but am not positive) that we have UI support for switching companion portraits. Not 100% sure on that.
Chanters have a chant interface that allows you to place in all of your phrases to see how they will overlap/twist. When you pick a chant (which is a set of phrases you put together), you just click on it and it will automatically take effect when combat starts. You only need to switch if you want a completely different chant.
And people thought fucking pun-slowpoke was weird.Ah yes, cornishr. He's been referenced ITT before, I think.

Josh's class nigh-perfection is sadly countered by Absurdian's decision to go with bright, blinding spell effects. Do they not remember NWN2 and how annoying it was to be unable to see battles because they were covered in glow? This is Not Infinity Engine.
