They should have made an update exclusively for the Facebook likes. 60K backers. At least 50K of these ought to have facebook accounts. They should have been able to get at least 40K backers to like their page at facebook.

3,5M is starting to seem almost likely if this keeps up.

why? Are you guys not just a little bit to optimistic? Or do you see a horde of backers come running?

They are living in the lala land.

The last couple of days of a KS project typically have these HUGE surge of pledges.

current Kicktraq trending suggests they'lll end with 3.2 million. If there is a huge surge, then they might hit 3.5 million, or slightly more, but 4 million is doubtful. I have noticed the numbers of unique new backers has been ticking up faster than in recent days, though.

Remember that the Kickstarter really only needs to hit 3.4, Paypal will almost certainly cover the rest.

Yes, that and people upping their pledges. It's just what tends to happen with (big) Kickstarter projects.

Even replicating the previous couple of days would be almost enough so it's just a matter of keeping up the momentum, though I think it's reasonable to expect the last 48 hours to bring in a lot more.

I seem to be late to the party -- what's the link to the stream of him playing IWD 2? Or did that end? I found one such stream on ustream but it's just an empty office -- might be too late.

Retro-Edit: Thanks for the link, guess I was on the right one.

Nah, they need to hit 4m to put in options for romancing furries, scalies, LGBT, necrophiliacs, midgets, wildlife, statues, books, trees, rocks, etc... That would draw the Biodrone money.

What concerns me more is seeing whether or not they hit, say, 65 or 70,000 unique backers, rather than 4 million dollars. If they reach a much larger number of backers in the next day or two, as well as bringing in a large amount of cash, I think that will make things really interesting.

Kicktraq doesn't seem to predict number of backers based on trends, only the amount backed.

I'm glad this isn't pidgeonholed into D&D, but they seem to be doing their hardest to mimic it.

It's cool since WotC and Bioware shit the bed though. Obsidian was the best chance we had of picking up the torch so to speak.

Wow, I forgot there was AoD-style dialogue teleporting in IWD2. Even Adam is commenting on it (and calling it "teleport".. Did he read all the AoD discussions?) :)

Very entertaining stream!

edit, hahah, he's doing all those shitty fetch quests :D
