No idea how it will work just yet, since there are different tiers. The Obsidian Order thing is wholly community-driven, and it just replaces the default post-count labels, so it won't really overlap.

I haven't donated to it but can you change my title to "Chest Pooper of the Obsidian Order" just for the sake of trollolz?

Hey Roguey, your obsession with dev-stalking is...errr...getting a little crazy, no?

Have to try some of those on the romance thread.

That would be funny. Wonder how much butthurt that would create with you getting a tag without donating the $8.

DOESN'T HAVING SEPARATE SYSTEMS FOR COMBAT AND NON-COMBAT SKILLS KIND OF DETRACT FROM THE SPECIALIZATION AND THEREFORE UNIQUENESS OF CHARACTERS BY ALLOWING FOR BROADER COMPETENCY?

Yes. I consider that an acceptable trade-off to prevent dead-ending certain players/parties in circumstances where their particular brand of non-combat specialist isn't accounted for. You're also configuring a party of characters, not a single character, so the number of combinations is much larger even with combat and non-combat skills being segregated.
Nice to see that companions are in fact fully customizable.

Maybe some day Sawyer will notice all this attention you're giving him and make sweet love to you. Maybe.

Which kinda negates his first point of OMG WE DONT WATNT TO DEAD END. If you have a whole party and you're making all of them identical then it's your own fucking fault and you deserve to be dead-ended.

FeelTheRads I think Sawyer's point when he says that, is that you'll have diversity via more party members, basically. It has nothing to do with dead-ending.

Exactly. You have diversity with party members so there's no real reason to be able to have everything with just one character.

Damn I said the same thing about dividing up core-gameplay (i.e. squad tactics game) vs. character-defining stats but now that Sawyer said it I feel wrong about it somehow

Yes but that's not what Josh is addressing! BLOBERT said:

He's complaining about uniqueness and specialization, not the fact that the game is too easy. Josh's reply is that you can attain uniqueness and specialization via a diverse party.

This is funny because before you were always-upset with me you had prior fixations with two teenage boys (Wyrmlord and Jimbob). I guess I'm a step up?

I only support butthurt that is induced with respect to an endpoint of hilarity. Butthurt purely for its own sake can only lead to decline and unintelligence. :obviously:

Don't deflect, now, I'm sure he appreciates that every other post from you is blowjobbing him.

I understand what he's addressing. My point is that he motivated their choice by not wanting to dead-end players. And then in the next sentence he contradicted himself by basically saying there's no dead-ending since you'll have a party with a full range of skills.

Well, it sounds like the only funny part is that you get to be an arsehole and people are upset with it.

How boring.

You can solo the game though, so they have to make it possible to advance from any point with a single character.

I personally think he's trolling everyone like a boss. In any case that thread is highly entertaining.
I dunno, it looks like he's had these same opinions for years. Though it is pretty great to see another person who drinketh from the cup of Lesifoere. Right down to the "Are you white?" accusations that backfire on inauthentic Asian-Scots.

What's wrong with a toggled, linen-like map or digital overview like Baldur's Gate instead of the acardey mini-map that will stay an eye-soar in top right of the screen, with a bunch of shitty icons and shit?
Toggle maps are less convenient than regular mini-maps.
Maps shouldn't be 100% convenient.
