I think I'd rather watch "Final Frontier" and then "Nemesis" back to back 20 times in a row as opposed to having to sit through "Into Darkness" ever again.

What is this "Nemesis" you want to watch? Everybody knows the last Star Trek movie was "Insurrection" before the mirrorverse took over!

Oh you mean the one where we have to take some time out from the action so Troi and Crusher can talk about their boobs? Are you fucking kidding me?

You guys are making me realize that maybe I don't like Star Trek after all. I may hate Star Trek. With Norfleet no longer in the game we need someone new to actively despise every aspect of STO while still playing it, right?

STO has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that Starfleet admirals are indeed insane mass-murderers. The sanest people in the entire game are probably the Klinks.
Well, that's a given. The Klinks have always been the heroes of the STO story. Antisocial heroes who resolve all problems through violence and force, as video game protagonists are wont to do, which makes them the perfect video game protagonists.

I find Ground combat more fun because it involves more teamwork and tactics.

Also, one thing that should be noted is that *THEORETICALLY* STO and NW have the best writing in MMOs. But that's only because they have player-created content where you might find stuff by actually talented storyfags.

Well, that's true. I did encounter some of the absolute best writing in STO foundry. I was particularly fond of the deep and well-crafted story behind Technician Nightmare, Parts 1 through 40, as well as that 80-part Indonesian Epic, which I was not able to understand much of, but what little I could grasp was deeply moving, all of which were spiritually sequels of the original Potatolandian story of "Trzeba Dil Zarobic". As of late, I was also fond of the "aaa" series of mission.

Far as I've heard, though, everything in NW's foundry is dogshit and pretentious dogshit.

Oh my god, I completely forgot about the Foundry. The only Foundry mission I've ever played was a murder mystery where you actually had to read the dialog boxes in order to figure out who the perpetrator was. My captain was furious at having to think so hard. I should probably take another look at what's available, I know some players love it.

No.

As much I can complain about TSW it have the best writing, too bad it suffers from other issues.

STO just have plot threads all over the place and undeveloped plot lines, things just end and are disconnected, the foundry is just filled with fanfic wank ... I want to blame the tools but they also to busy BioWarian that actually create something of value, worst are the "seroes" because clearly a IP known for its episodic nature really needs crap like story arcs.

Oh the Excelsior is apparently Al Rivera favorite ship in case you are wondering why.

I took a look at the TSW thread, but was unable to figure out how you'd even get started in the game, given that it apparently is trying to soak you for money before you even have anything to GET that money with.

I played TWS when it gone B2P and had a Steam Sale and I was am dumb, gone as far as Egypt.

I dont recall things needing money but that was right at transition time so things might have changed, Kingsmouth wasnt that bad until I started to go further in, the combat system was the thing I really struggled with and why I decided to stop, game had way too many "story dungeons" that you have to solo.

Still had very good writing and thats the only good thing I have to say about it.

Berserker is going to sell like hotcakes on Exchange.

And I'd say there's something worse than just 11 consoles about this boat: It means that T6 Shipyard is imminent.

What?

They already mentioned T6 would have fleet versions, Delta Rising just invalidates all previous gear and method if acquisition of high end gear, this is also Cryptic so the Fleet system will just get another holding but not "now", I suspect its more they want to skin all the players they can get for a few months before they do it again with a new holding, my stand of not doing it is because eventually the smackdown will come from above and they will lower things to more rational costs otherwise this became a game were new players cannot even enter because they are bar of making any actual progress.

if not, fuck them.

Just finished tweaking the Eclipse. It looks beautiful with Type 6 material and Type 2 windows:

I'd say the best news about 5U tokens is that they are an accountwide unlock (not sure if this is the case with Fleet ships tho), so they're actually a better deal than Fleet Modules. Still, only use Zen on them when a major sale is on.

It looks wrong on so many levels, the Mass Effect comparison says it all. And not in a "it's good for what it is" way.

Hopefully the rest of the playerbase has better tastes than you! (okay you got the best out of it, but even you can't turn a turd into Arcanum in SPACE)

Pre-patching was indeed pointless, but I expect to explore the Delta Quadrant in early november judging by the current speed.

Cryptic has been saying all along that the price would be somewhere between 500 and 1000 zen, and it is, so....what's the problem?

Math for dummies.

2500 + 700 -3000 = 200

Check the cost of T6 ships, that is the problem.

To me the math looks like this:

3000 - 700 = 2300 saved. The money I spent on my Fleet-level T5 ships is a sunk cost regardless of what I do.

The T6 ships don't interest me. I took a good look at both the Mat'ha and the Guardian, and came to the conclusion that I'd rather fly a FT5U Peghqu' (upgrades for free, no less!) and a FT5U Regent. That means I've spent a grand total of 700 zen since DR dropped, as compared to the 6000 I would've needed to spend to get the Mat'ha and Guardian. I'll take another look when we get our T6 shipyard and the 11-console Fleet versions of these ships are available.

Having said all that...I do feel that the prices on the T5 C-store ships need to be dropped across the board if Cryptic ever intends to sell any more.
