What the fuck are these people doing? We're getting Star Citizen levels of "the game is almost done guys!". Should have seen the signs when certain users started posting in this thread.

Also, what does this mean for the new PoE1 league? I'm reading around and people are saying that it'll be in January?

POE1 development is separate from POE2.
They drank the kool-aid so bad like cdprojekt lol
Chris even talked about CP77 back then &
The funny thing,
CDP voice actress gives birth into microphone literally lmao as "grunt" sounds

here you get such "grunting" voice act too you can go flaunt around at games conventions how bad you drank the kool-aid lmaoo

I'd rather spend good dozens of hours trying my own builds from stuff that i loot rather than sweating over numbers on third party sites like a retard.

I think everyone would rather do that, they can't be bothered to pick up stuff on the ground cause the itemization of POE is awful and has always been. D2 did a way better job at telegraphing the value of an item to the player and making them feel there's a progression to item drops.

Chris claims that this problem is fixed in POE 2 but so far I am not convinced it has been. If the odds of getting good items on the ground is still too low in POE 2 don't expect anything to change.

this is why i said POE2 doesn't go far enough. D2 armor is not only better mechanically but also it lends itself to good itemization.

If say you have box that says you have 20% chance to get unique in POE you have actually less % than that to get proper unique. That's because armor is divided into 6 types. So that 20% becomes 1/6 x 1/5 = 0.03 which means you have 3% to get unique that will even fit your character. GGG in response to that cranks up loot to 11 so rather than 2-3 items landing that at least fit your character a bit instead you get dozens and most of them don't even fit your character.

On one hand they added fun complexity but it cost them being worse at loot mechanics and introducing onion problem. IMHO innovation was good to try but clearly they should go back with it to older type of armor. And it's not like you can't have fun complexity with older system. D2 armor system still had light-medium-heavy armor types it needed some rework and expansion and you would get perfect system.

It'd be even more harder to get gear in SSF in POE2 as they plan to remove scouring orbs and other crafting paraphernalia that help you to get whatever mods you want. Imagine crafting something in the same way that you get corrupted item with the neccessary implicit (RT EE for example for VLS). Whatever you want (I guess to gear up fast to the max as you have 3 jobs and 5 wives) won't work in the trade environment and they've stated several times they won't split drop rates for SSF and trade or do anything like LE devs did with regards to drop rates.

Depends on how rare will be new chaos orb that will be removing one random mod to add another random one.

So good that having high defense on armour doesn't matter. Sockets go vroooom. Some people should stop posting about games they clearly don't understand.
The fuck are you on about? PoE's itemization is so bad you'd be better off if instead of showing the name of the armour piece while it was on the ground it just listed what tier of life mod it has so you could go ahead and ignore it before even finding out what slot it fits.

Collecting the needed base with yellow mods saves you the effort of scouring the item, alching it or doing more advanced stuff (alt/aug/regal/ex slam etc). In any case, I often pick the stuff with potentially interesting bases (amethyst rings/amulets/weapons of the type I use), it's not a big deal to identify them later and sooner or later you'll get something useful, i.e. this amulet was an upgrade for me, literally dropped from one of the unique npcs in the atzloatl pyramid:

Looks promising, I like bosses and more interesting combat. I wanna know what it's like to play though. That first boss fight looked pretty drawn out. If it's running around avoiding stuff and mashing 1 button then I'll be disappointed. I'm hoping there are multiple things to use and timing matters. I only saw one attack and then some kind of stun. Meh.

Yeah, I dunno, without open-heart surgery on the skills I don't understand how this is supposed to work. To make the combat slower and more methodical while keeping it fun you need telegraphed attacks with maybe even some long windups, CC, combo points, ramp ups etc. Basically things that will keep you focused as you constantly need to make decisions.

If they are keeping essentially the same skills I doubt going slower will feel good.

We just have these brainless trashmobs you smash to smitherens and dodge AoE from bosses is super fun & so intense.

We will see how it plays in the end. I am hoping for the best. Slower Diablo 1 feel combat with modern engine, better UI and almost unlimited character crafting options.

Yeah yeah & in the end if this slower stuff amounts to nothing else than "cinematic / visceral" it'll turn out you were grasping for straws with n+1 bad precedent and they did away with the IP.
