I had the thought of using a build like that when I first tried animate weapon. If there's enough items you can certainly get quite the swarm going (would be cake in a party) however, weapons die very easily and are not easy to replace. Not a good solo build. Better off going with dominating blow.

Goddamit, Path Of Exile /still/ kills you for the most stupid stuff. Latest death: computer freezes for half a second in upper scepter of god (only cruel, thank god). by the time it's unfreezed, i am dead. fuck it.

I'm still trying to get the right socket colors on my Bringer of Rain so I can start snapshotting my zombies. Used 100 chromes and no luck so far. Anybody playing Ambush league so we can run maps together?

You can stop trying now - snapshotting is finally getting removed from the game with the next major patch. Haven't you heard?

Also, 100 chroms is like, what, 5-8 chaos depending on a league? Doesn't sound like you really want to get those colours right.

I know it's getting removed. Just wanted to try it. Besides, I think they will buff summoners somehow to compensate because the nerf to snapshotting hits them and RF users the most.

100 chromes were all I had. I don't trade with other players. Everything is self found.

I always wondered, why people are unwilling to trade with other players? Is this a self-imposed challenge that you only want to use the stuff that drops for you or what is the motivation?

I find it time consuming and somewhat counter productive. For me, this game is about finding cool loot, not making a perfect min-max char with perfect gear. Makes finding a nice new replacement for one of your items sweeter. Trading items for orbs so you can get some Exalted Orbs to buy some high level gear takes the fun out of it for me.

Maybe it's because I used to trade via forums during D2X days. It was a chore, selling those low level unique items, getting paid in forum gold so you can buy a high lvl unique. I would rather find them myself. Found around 10 uniques in the last two days. One of them was Alpha's Howl. Useless for my char but I can always make a new one who can take advantage of it or even give it to a guild member. Gave away Tabula Rasa last season.

I don't think that minions are going to be buffed after snapshotting removal, since they've got such a huge buff in one of the earlier patches.

They are strong as is. I've always been against snapshotting, and my minions still rip everything apart (except for certain aoe mass killer bosses like map versions of Dominus or Piety).

I've found that trading is pretty important for maxing the fun had/time spent ratio of the game, as long as you knew what you were doing. Self-found can be fun up until certain point, but when spending 10 minutes (and a few of hard-earned orbs) trading yields way better results than mindlessly grinding lower-level zones for several hours in hope of finding ANY upgrade to advance in the game, it makes you wonder - why bother? I like steady progress and I utterly hate pointless grinding, so why bother with self-found (or MF as well, I'm not a chinese cyber-farmer, thank you)?

Whatever floats your boat, I suppose.

I prefer self-found to some degree (E.G, i will buy skill gems i can't find otherwise, or i will buy build-making uniques) because it feels like /you/ are playing the game, and not that you are playing a economy simulator.

I only begin trading after sitting at trade channels for a couple of weeks, I hate to risk being scammed by some turbomerchant. Worst feeling ever.

Pretty fucking good so far. I like it more than Grim Dawn.

I played when Act 1 was the only act available / just when they released Act 2. There's quite a lot they've added in since then.

Rolled a Marauder as that was an OP class when I played, still pretty good. Had my first death in one of those random instances, just a bit of bad luck. Other than that it's been pretty easy.

I've got bored in the closed beta because there was very little content, but now, especially with maps the content is varied enough to keep me playing.
It gets harder and much more dynamic later on. If you want to party or something just add me to friends, its Quatlo.

PoE wipes its dick all over Grim Dawn's asscheeks. No fucking comparison at this stage, and the GD folks give me little reason to suspect future updates will work out in favour of GD.

I have clocked 900+ hrs in this game and all self found so +1 for self found.
The joy when you eventually find an upgrade is why i play the game :)

Anyone willing to party and rush through difficulties to start doing maps? Hardcore of course.

I haven't played for a long time, decided to start playing again as some big patch(expansion?) is on the way.

Call me when exp is out. 2 weeks left. They've revealed some big changes to crafting, now you get a guranteed 5link for a mere 150 Fusing Orbs. 1500 for 6link.

150 is pretty good.
Well I got a 4-link today with just one fusing, so I think I'll still rely on my luck after exp is out :M

I did the last 3-4 5Links in under 150 fuses(last one was in just 1 fuse). I'll probably only going to use the crafting bench for the 6L. Anyway, I'm looking forward to playing in the new HC league when the expansion comes out.
