Pure Monk sounds good, though I'm willing to check out the most broken builds imaginable for comedy purposes.

Sounds like Sensei may be the way to go for a relatively straightforward build.

I honestly think Dragon Style is a bit overrated. The problem is that Monks don't get as much benefit from Power Attack as other classes, so the 'all-in on STR' strategy doesn't pay off as well. It's still fine. Pummeling Style is better IMO. Free pounce, shits on DR.

Pounce is always good on a melee character, triply so if you are playing turn-based.

However, if you have that dungeon DLC, you will want someone with high AB who can wield a flail in order to kill that last boss more easily.

For comedy purposes, it is hard to beat Cleric 4 (Animal Domain; take the guy with the longbow and the Blessed Hearth Power domain as the second domain)/Sacred Huntmaster 9. Wander around with a level 19 Animal Companion at level 13. Bonus points of the Animal Companion is an Elk for the charge attack. The last 7 levels can be anything you want.

To be fair, I have never tried it, but it was mentioned as a bug online somewhere. But at least you now know why Sacred Huntmasters can't take the Animal Domain.

Grab the Codex by the pussy Strap Yourselves In Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
Someone tell me how to build the sickest unarmed monk ever.
I'm not commenting to help you, just pointing out that fighting unarmed against enemies using weapons, spells, and/or fire breath is retarded and should kill you before you even reach level 2.

Guys, I just have had all my spells disabled because of a wrong alignment. I'm an Irori Inquisitor and this is the situation:

Immagine.jpg

What should I do? I "only" have to take Neutral or Legal Good choices to switch in that direction and, until then, no spells?

There should be a vendor in the capital that sells "alignment reset" scrolls. Can't remember his name though.
Before that I used mods to fix that but it was not working perfect.

This is why you need to play with mods, Owlcat's alignment mechanics are fucking retarded

What's even more retarded is depriving himself of most of itemization in a genre that is half about finding new shiny things to equip. It's almost like asking "tell me how to play the game without that pesky leveling crap".

I think I will look for that merchant. In the meanwhile, I'm doing without.

I've just leveled to the 7th and I still have to solve the Troll Problem and I'm 70 days to the second ancient curse. And I die a lot because of the will-o-wisp (or whatever their name is) in the Hag House's map or in Candlekeep (we not that's not the name). Mostly because of their first lightning spell when they rise than their actual fighting skills.

I think I'll try to solve first the troll problem and make my third region great!

Use Resist Energy against wisps
I have to prepare the party for that, yes. But, anyway, I think it will be a tough run on Unfair at 7th level (for me) in those two locations. I will go later and I solve first the Troll problem and the second ancient Curse

At level 7 you have a resist value of 20 towards the chosen energy type, I think you should be fine

As soon as they attack (when they appear and have the advance), it's 21/10 damages each. It's not a lot lot lot but after 3/4 fights it starts to be a lot. Plus I have that Crag Linnorm problem too. It is not impossible to attack, but at its first attack is 75 damages each!

You're taking 21 damage after resisting 20?
I don't think I'm resisting. I have not used the "Protect from energy" spell. My mind really doesn't go there.

I'm not stupid. I know I have all these spells and scrolls who helps my against evil, chaos, against illnesses, againt energy but, when it comes to use them, my mind just goes "HAMMER DOWN THAT SON OF A BITCH BAREHANDS".

I really don't know why. And I can assure that I also understand maths, rules, combos.
It's just that my mind thinks "We can use these scrolls and spells later". And then I never use them.

I have 41 cure light wounds potions, 10 medium, 10 serious. Rarely used. A lot of scrolls: never used, if not out of combat to heal. A lot of wands: rarely used. Normally the magic missile ones (because it's like hammering, for me).

I'm psyco, maybe

Insert Title Here Pathfinder: Wrath
After like five abortive attempts to play this, I'm going to finish it this time. I'm determined.

Someone tell me how to build the sickest unarmed monk ever. I played as a DEX Monk last time and cleaned every combat encounter the fuck up so I'm confident that it's the way forward, but I just wondered if anyone had any advice of the "oh yeah pick this one specific perk and suddenly you're invincible" variety.
Had a guy ask me to make him a Dragon Disciple build for CotW mod and we came up with a Sacred Fist/Dragon Disciple that fought as a Monk in Dragon form that was pretty sweet. DD lets you get Dargon Form without having to cast it so you can fit in more Monk levels and CotW has a Feat that lets you use Monk abilities with Natural attax. End up with eight caster lvls as a Sorc for buffs and nine Monk levels, along with the Dragon bonuses.
