I didn't notice a difference on HardOkay so, whole chain of encounters at start looks nerfed... no wolfs just some cats, weak assasins and fucking bandits died super fast during attack.
They nerfed a lot of the beginning way back when. The first 'not-so-random' encounter on the world map post tutorial hasn't been wolves since like 1.1. If I had to guess, the sorting function seems broken. Anytime an item moves it jumbles my entire inventory up with lots of empty spaces.Is the inventory when selling horribly broken for anyone else?

Yeah, definitely am not getting that. Pay attention when you get random encounters, sometimes it says they're friendly -- don't skip them.
When using filters, some items in the inventory could be duplicated or put to random slots. Resolution: Fixed.

Do you mean Action bar auto-fill? This one was working ok for me for a very long time. It is not global but local for a save game, so you need to set it every time you start a new campaign.
