Um. I am confused with myself. I feel like I am spamming this thread. Plus I am not sure if people will want to watch me playing the game on unfair. Please let me know what you think.
You should absolutely do it. I wish there was at least one competent Unfair playthrough on Youtube/Twitch where the player wins through good builds/tactics and not either a) blatant cheating (like Heart of Ira cheese) or b) endless reloads due to inadequate preparation and understanding of the game mechanics.
Alright. Thanks!

amurath Do you not consider Pink's fight in Aldori throne room cheesy?
I suppose. I was just speaking generally. I realize that if you play "fairly" on Unfair, the early game will still involve quite a few reloads due to bloated enemy stats.
Sadly, that's just the nature of the beast. Even if you are mechanically competent, dice rolls can still ruin you. Such is Unfair. Anyways, more videos!

By the way, it is actually recommended NOT to use the slush on the bandits. It will obstruct your ability to charge the archers down.

They did? I wasn't aware of it. I just got tired of the new mod/format/(lack of)conversation.

There is no critical miss on skill checks.
Sadly, it is a very common house rule among retards. Enough that many consider it part of the core rules. And it usually goes hand in hand with rolling on a stupid table to see what "interesting" thing happens on a critical miss.

I wonder how inability to understand a text happens even to the best of Westerners, and then spreads like COVID-19 or black pogroms.

It has never been said in the original tweet that there was some "ctirical miss". It is said that a player rolled 3 natural ones in a row for skill checks that the player considered critical for her or his game. Apparently, those skill checks were really important for him to pass. And s/he failed to pass them because the dice.

I understood it. Critical miss was implied by him specifying the 1s. It is possible that they were playing without critical skill misses, but unlikely.

the tweet said:
thankfully my DM was like "I want to have horrible stuff happen but this is ridiculous."
This, to me, reads as if the DM usually has horrible stuff happen on a natural 1, beyond and above merely failing a skill check, but thankfully this time he was merciful.

OK, I concede that your interpretations are valid, too, and without broader context it is impossible to determine which one is better.

Codex: always enlightening.

Wowsies, Owlcat was too lazy to add chance to hit display? Do you have to check the log always?
Also, it looks like Unfair's +4 to AC and attack rolls is the same as on Hard?

Unfair also has +8 to enemy stats, double enemy damage and +4 to all skill DCs.

Or is it because of +4 Dex and it just gets summed up in "Difficulty: +4" from +2 AC and +4 Dex? That owuld make sense.

edit

I think its because of "Enemy stat adjustment" and "Enemy difficulty"

But than the question is why the Monkguy not facing harder odds?...

edit

Tested it and yeah, AC and attack are 2 points higher on Unfair than Hard... Ofcourse x2 dmg is bad too mkay
Gee, I just might go Challenging........................................

Questions regarding true ending:

So I wasn't giving enough gay good replies to Tristian and as a result there was no option for him to break the Oculus in Vordy's tomb.
Is it still possible for Tristian to destroy it during Betrayer's flight quest? If not, is Nyrissa's romance now unavailable? Would it help to do his quest before Amiri's?

Finally, does executing Tristian affect anything? I still haven't gotten over him killing Jaethal in my previous run.

It's not the true ending, just the secret ending. That said,
Tristian will either break the Oculus at the tomb or not at all. Nyrissa has gotten her hands on it by now, no matter what you do with Tristian, Amiri or their quest.

The romance is not over, however, contrary to what you may have read on half-baked guides. It's barely affected, actually. All that changes is instead of getting the Briar from Irovetti's basement, you find it discarded at Nyrissa's funhouse. It won't work for her if it's taken, it has to be freely given and accepted.

And it's not easy to fuck up enough to have Tristian kill Jaethal if you actually care about her and not him.

Horvatii If you were a melee sorcerer you could have had one of your companions move first. Then you follow behind with color spray. Aim it so it gets all three of the assassins. Then just spam Coup de Grace.
