Tristian will either break the Oculus at the tomb or not at all. Nyrissa has gotten her hands on it by now, no matter what you do with Tristian, Amiri or their quest.

The romance is not over, however, contrary to what you may have read on half-baked guides. It's barely affected, actually. All that changes is instead of getting the Briar from Irovetti's basement, you find it discarded at Nyrissa's funhouse. It won't work for her if it's taken, it has to be freely given and accepted.

And it's not easy to fuck up enough to have Tristian kill Jaethal if you actually care about her and not him.

Thanks for clearing it up. I'm guessing that curse research on Briar now won't be possible, which slightly reduces the available options but it's no big deal.
And yeah, it was a blind playthrough with an attempt to make everyone happy so I suppose it's somewhat deserved. Still, fuck that guy.

Nice clear of the tomb. How reliable is this approach, how many reloads did it take?
Btw. why is Protection from alignment in the game when Shield of faith does the same thing without any restrictions.

Not that many actually. I think about five reloads in total. The whole purpose is to fish for big numbers with Amiri's big sword + enlarge. Since you're going to be missing a lot, every hit counts, so might as well just go full on. Attack Rolls be damned.

If you're talking about Ancient Tomb on Unfair + Iron Man. Forget it. I still haven't found the most effective strategy for dealing with it. This is usually the place I lose 99% of my iron man runs.

Color Spray and Sleep. Best spells. Sorcerer and Wizard I believe give access to those spells.

Color Spray is in Linzi necklace - 3 uses per rest. Also, this necklace grants +1 DC to all enchantment spells. Linzi can probably learn Sleep as well.

Both attack Will saves, though. A caster can have Grease; a Shackleborn Tiefling has Web once per rest (but DC might be too low). Is there any way to attack Fortitude besides Linzi scream?

P.S.: so what - Linzi is the most valuable companion for the first 2-3 levels?!

As an experiment I gave her a dip in ecclesitheurge of Shelyn at level 2. Six casts of channel energy, +2 sacred ac/ab to Valerie and touch of luck at least in theory reduces number of reloads on skill checks. Can't cast cleric spells until she gets wisdom circlet from Old sycamore though.
Not sure if it was worth it. Casting that buff on Valerie each turn is a chore, shame you can't right click it.

Desiderius , Haplo just wanted to ask you guys what are the best single target damage feats/rage powers on a two handed barbarian? I guess Power Attack is good and maybe Combat Reflexes if you can trip reliably. With Dirty Fighting through CotW I could turn my barb into a tripper but is it worth it?

Start fight vs 3 assassins with fighter, run to them, show the assassins Linzi and Sorc around the corner, they retarget on them and eat ALL the attacks of opportunity I can throw at them...

Is there a way to slow down the game permanently instead of HOLDING V (wtf?) ?

Turn based mod seems to be what you wish for. Also you can pause the game entirely by pressing space.

There is no way to slow down the game (thx google). CheatEngine it is.

This game's presentation is like 2 steps below Deadfire.
1. no chance to hit display
2. icons over chars overlap
3. no permanent slowdown
4. ui worse, shit lags around, small log screen
5. ugly models, items

I like Animal Totems to get Pounce and Natural Armor, with Reckless Stance and Inspire Ferocity to give whole team stacking to hit. That bonus cancels Power Attack malus.

You can leave the CMs to other toons because you do so much damage per hit. With Combat Reflexes you clean up on the AoOs everyone else generates.

Outflank and Shake it Off are good on all melee, and you don’t get any bonus Feats so that pretty much covers it. Since you have Martial Proficiency you can just use best available Two-hander so don’t need Focus. Don’t need Shatter since AoOs are at full BAB.

Share Spell is tricky. It has Bonded Mind as prereq and character also needs Pet or Familiar to take it so Linzi would need to multiclass. Regongar is a decent option though, he can get familiar as Magus Arcana and does not have many good spells competing on low levels.

I usually install Respecialization with CotW to have more bodies to experiment with. I try to keep companions within their "theme" and keep original stats though.

Splash for Fey Bloodline/Bonus Caster Feat and Familiar is a nice one on Linzi.

Currently testing on Val TSS1/Oracle, Ekun Ranger, Linzi Bard/Sorc 1, Reg Untamed Rager/Scion. Holding off until midgame to get the Feats to let durations get to be worth it.
