I hope that patch isn't just Turn Based. I hope they will include bug fixes, or something, at the very least. Turn Based does nothing for me.
I hope they make crazy optimization ZA/UM did with working class update https://store.steampowered.com/newshub/app/632470/view/2209523289103349404I hope that patch isn't just Turn Based. I hope they will include bug fixes, or something, at the very least. Turn Based does nothing for me.
Playing around with party composition and retraining my party. I've had Jaethal as a cleric, because it makes sense, but I find that I don't actually use her spells very often. Retrained her to a Freebooter with menace and dirty trick feats. It feels much better. I have mostly been using Kalikke, but I retrained Kanerah to Earth emphasis, and that's working out well. My party was waltzing through everything by the time I got to Trobold (at the latest), but it got pretty bad by the time the Season of Bloom was over. Retooling my party is a symptom of that, but they were not optimized prior. Now that they are, I'm resisting turning up the difficulty from "challenging".
This game is pretty outstanding though. It's one SCS type AI mod (and perhaps some NPC mods) away from being better than BG2, objectively.
We don't need a SCS for Kingmaker, because we are getting Wrath of the Righteous soon and I trust Owlcat to put so much soul and content into that that we won't need to replay Kingmaker anytime soon. And I'm saying this as someone who is still actively playing Kingmaker. It's notoriously difficult to mod the Unity engine unless the devs didn't specifically make it easy, so don't expect SCS. I wouldn't say it's particularly difficult in terms of creativity to make a better RPG than BG2, especially since it isn't even the better game in its own series, so it's just a matter of time now that the RPG floodgates have been opened.
Yes, absolutely. A lot of the build talk on this thread is about hybrid builds but you can absolutely play well if you just stick to pure classing and pick obviously beneficial feats.Steam sale is on. So if I buy this now, in August I can play it turn based?
Is it possible to enjoy this game if you are not a build nerd? I never got into 3rd/3.5/PF much and don't want to have to study the system for 100 hours before character creation to avoid a gimped character or party.
You can also play it turn-based now with a mod which, as far as I know, works pretty damn well.Steam sale is on. So if I buy this now, in August I can play it turn based?

I'm no expert but what happebed to me that even paying some attention to builds ( in no way min maxing) played on challenging difficult all game , which is 1 above normal I think, and mid game was supereasy, but the end suddenly spiked and was full of more difficult fights that weren't even boss fight. So I had to lower the difficulty because the game is so long that at that point I didn't have the stamina to sit and think of new comps and gearing up again. Just saying, brace for a spike in difficulty at the end of a long game.Steam sale is on. So if I buy this now, in August I can play it turn based?

It doesHopefully Pathfinder, like Baldur's Gate, lets you adjust difficulty on the fly.
mediocrepoet Yes? Are you suggesting that a new player jump into Unfair, have a hard time, then come back here to shit talk the game?
Showcasing other areas you can poke for experience and gold. However, with that said, three nodes will be left until after level 5 is reached. Boggards, Leopard, and Silent's wolf pack. Now that the best possible gear is obtained, well at this stage of the game anyways, a portion of gold will be reserved for Kingdom management.
