The greatest mercenary leader was probably Wallenstein. Let's compare his resume to that of the cartoon girl:

Wow it's astonishing how his biography resembles biograph of Griffith from Berserk. Griffith had to sleep with old men to get money for his campaign but similarities are still striking.
Truly a fleshed out character, no wonder Berserk is considered to be a masterpice. Was berserk based on Bohemia? Will Kigndome Come be similar to Berserk?

I don't know, but Griffith was based partly on this guy.
