PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Insert Title Here RPG Wokedex Divinity: Original Sin 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag. Pathfinder: Wrath
I fucking hate players who learned "poor game design" mantra and apply it to anything which even remotely frustrates them

Before players would just go "what is this shit" or "am I bad?" or "am I not supposed to go there?", now if game is NOT LIKE DOSE OTHER GAMES, it means it is "poor game design" or "it is fundamentally broken" (focus on fundamentally it is smart word) or "my GM would not do this"

Oh and GM thing is especially telling, because judging by everything I've read d&d/pathfinder GMs are pussies who never even killed a single player character in their gaming life
It's the mentality in schools: too many kids fail at a test - it's the teacher's fault, he obviously didn't explain the subject matter well enough. I guess that's how we reached a state where the good and challenging games are being made in those countries where SJWs have not taken over the educational system.

On another note, hasn't the Ignore list always been just a retard-detector? Why is it even actually functional? Who on this forum comes here for the safe space?

If you're just here to explore and kill things, it's a nuisance.

Anyway, that curse thing is an excellent moron "I didn't pay enough attention to the story" detector going by that Steam thread.
Alright so I don't think many or anyone in this thread has gotten to this point in the game, but to clarify your kindom stats have nothing to do with the lantern kings curse %. It starts at -80%, and by using the portal at the north of your camp you can teleport to the different main areas of your kingdom and free them, dropping the curse by 20% for each. Each time you do this you also get some more of the npc's that you helped throughout the game joining for the final battle. Unfortunately at this point the game stops as I can only access 3/5 areas before the portal becomes bugged, and sallying forth for the final battle dosn't work as that door is bugged as well.

Basically, it's extremely punishing for everybody on purpose. You're supposed to do specific things to make it less punishing.

I am beginning to suspect I will need a bit more playthroughs before my second playthrough would get unbugged from some stuff before my first playthrough would get unbugged

I am beginning to feel like Nyrissa collecting grains in a cup here.

But my grains are playthroughs
Once I collect enough of them and sip from a cup maybe I will see the endgame

I kind of get it,still the game is called kingmaker, what do people expect?! In my opinion the biggest problem is how pushy the main quest is. If it was depending on the player to push forward the story,a lot more people would have enjoyed the kingdom management.

Meh.

This is nearly not as interesting if game actually tied your stats to your Kingdom at some point. This is just sorta JRPG thing-like with locking abilities/unlocking them through plot.

the very presence of women in combat as a warrior already SJW agenda.

Ah no, I wouldn't go that far. At least not in a DnD Setting. In a hyper realist setting, sure. But if you wanted hyper-realism in a DnD game, that is opening a whole can of worms. I mean then only half-orcs, dwarfs and so on should be allowed as warriors. Halflings, Elves, Humans all those puny races would have to be relegated to virgin wizard or healslut status. That'd just lead to autistic fun policing.
iu
And that is what we have Sawyer for
I have no problem with good (or even bland) female characters, it is only the SJW types that need to be pruned and/or humiliated. And I think the game did find an excellent middle ground. You could even argue that it did a better job than BG, since BG had characters like Mazzy. Lawful Good Female Halfling Warrior. She almost made me like Imoen in comparision. Almost.

You do get those buffs/debuffs while in your lands from some projects, like divine protection from poison or +1 to hit/damage. There should've been more projects like that early on, to get people invested who otherwise wouldn't care.

How the hell do you build a printing house? I did Linzi's quest and should have one for free, but it's just nowhere to be found. Also, there seems to be a bug with upgrading some buildings, they cost way more than what they should. Also also, I seem to be missing one building slot in my capitol, maybe it's hidden behind the UI somewhere?

Like divine protection from poison that you get after chapter when you wanted protection from poison after 80 hours of playtime where you already have Mass Protect Poison Memorised
Or +1 morale to attack which doesn't stack with other morale bonuses
Or immunity to compulsion after you already cleared 70% of the map of all fey (although I admit, that one is actually strong)

and nothing of this works in areas you have yet NOT explored or First World

So just do +20% Horse Breeding Program. that one is actually useful.

Also I spent 400 BP on Black Market card and got Ring +1.

how many of those are 'I put some armor on my wizards and now my spells fail randomly'
Probably 85% member all the people shocked they have to memorize spells.
To be fair, I was playing on a early hotfix and Tristian could memorize fireballs in his non-domain slots. Now I've restarted with the newest version and he can't do so anymore. But hey, he & everyone else can suddenly grow wings.

Well, my Amiri has wings :)

Valerie is the same only worse it seems. You can't even grease her up to get into spicy catfights. She is so comically bad as a fighter, that her best build is basically turning her into an inanimate object.
Ughhh then you are shit at building....she is the second best fighter after my rogue, also she is the last to fall down. I had many fights where she was the last standing tall and delivering the final strike!

That is what I meant. She is a great wall. Standing there with that blank look on her face. Not giving an inch, cause she is always encumbered anyways. Being mobbed by unwashed hordes that can't penetrate her AC. It is a beautiful thing.
:buildawall:

She has good STR + CHR therefore Intimidating Prowess + Weapon Focus (Bastard) + Dazzling Display and everything will get frightened.

Yeah, I know. That is how I build her. Though I blame the haircut.

the fuck does this mean? you somehow think if you play long enough your save files with bugged quests and shit will be magically fixed? or that future patches will retroactively fix saves which have bugged instances saved?

you are blinded by incline

When you see such camp you click on it and hope for fun battle :). It is game logic.
The real trap is those damn sleeping bandits. You carefully position yourself for a murderous coup de gras, give the silent signal, and try to kill them.

Miss, miss, miss.
“Guys, they are waking up!”
Miss, miss, miss.
“Now they are cooking a hearty breakfast...”
Miss, miss, miss.
“Oh shit, they look angry!”
Miss, miss, miss!

Whole party is feared and dies horribly. :argh:

So I have finished Act 3 now and soon afterwards
I get a warning message that people in my barony are having lots of bad luck and that something is happening and I should do something about it. But I got no events, projects, quests or new areas to explore as a result.
I got that message two times already, what am I supposed to do?

EDIT: Also how do you upgrade your villages to towns (I got my capital upgraded to town already).

Did you get a letter from Varnhold yet?
To upgrade your villages you need at least 5 lands annexed and at least 6 buildings in the village you want to upgrade, then you'll get a project called "Upgrade a Village" or something.
