On the owlcat forums Desiderius is normally arguing against the people who want to min-max, power game and dip into everything. Many users on the forum consider certain companions to be outright rubbish which is not the case. As been said, you have the wrong person. Now, to answer your question, when it comes to mythic paths there are numerous ways to roleplay them. For example, Angel, you can be more merciful vs being more about righteous retribution. Lich, can be the cackling evil overlord vs "whatever it takes to win." Aeon literally has a divergent mythic path into devil.

Nothing is worse than a power gamer. I'll see power gamers do everything in their power to make their character as strong as possible only to complain that the game isn't hard enough, but what's worse is the people who just copy powergamer's build and then complain or show off about how the game isn't hard enough. I'd much rather accomplish my goals by using spells and abilities and positioning to overcome challenges than copy some build and then faceroll the whole game with my 80-some AC. MMOs are ruined exactly due balance cultists. Just look to the earlier mmos which was like SP games, like Dark Sun Online : Crimson Sands and Ultima Online. You rolled for attributes on Dark Sun like on SP games. Spells like Finger of Death which OHK anyone who fails a save at -2 penalty exists in the mmo like on SP game... I had way more fun playing neverwinter nights 1 on PRC's with 40 people on a server than the generic wow clone.

All, I repeat ALL masterpiece RPG's are unbalanced. Low int runs on Fallout 1/2 aren't optimal, dwarf magicians on arcanum too, but are fun non the less. The fun of an ARPG is to create an cool unique character and role play as that character in another fictional world. If the character is optimal or suboptimal, is irrelevant as longs is fun and makes sense that they are optimal or suboptimal on that fictional world lore.
