I presume you are talking about the opening cutscene with Deskari?
I don't think that's your PC firing the crossbow or whatever. The voice is always male regardless of your character. I think it's the guard.

I don't think it was even crossbow - my character literally pointed 2h hammer at logust fag and fired from it.

It looks like some kind of magical bolt. Again I don't think it's your character doing it, just made a new female Dhampir PC and the voice for "take that bug head" is the exact same distinctive male voice, sounds a lot like the guard.

Parabalus I cleared market and tower+library. Got back and told Irabeth about it. Haven’t gotten all those rewards yet, when will I get the trigger that the tavern attack didn’t happen?

Only rested once for 9 hours.

Did you miss any other main quest?

I have a save right before I talk to storyteller. I did WolfJ Quest, cleared market square, rested for 9 hours, then cleared tower and library. I went back to tavern, talked to orc and I just tell her about tower, no rewards and attack happens if I rest to skip time.

Honestly no idea. Usually I do storyteller last, use his teleport to Irabeth then she tells you you were fast so no attack.

Mothertrucker, I only rested once too. It might be bugged…

The attack on the tavern, afaik, is not related to any of the quests in ch.1, to skip it all together you actually need to start the attack on the grey garrison before it happens.

Blackwater definitely sucks.

Regenerating demons with vulnerability to adamantine and electricity... and immunity to electricity.
So you either have mythic electricity ability or brought adamantine weapon with yourself or you're screwed. That's just bad design.

Edit: nevermind, apparently Coup de Grace works. Still, bad encounter design, but not "go back to Dresen and buy yourself some adamantine" bad

One thing I noticed in regards to the whole armor vs. unarmored dex/stat AC is that the latter is stronger than it should be also because there are very few enemies that actually cancel your dex and assorted bonuses to AC. Not many enemies that immobilize your party or stealthed enemies. In the act 1's mansion fight there are actually some stealthed cultists and that actually tore through two of my tankiest characters which had a lot of non-armor AC and neither had uncanny dodge.

Are there more enemies that cancel your AC bonuses one way or another later in the game? Currently not playing more and waiting for patches.

I have noticed couple of encounters with hidden enemies in ch2, there is probably more, but at this point it is dumb to leave a home without True Seeing (Mass), so it is hard to find out what parts are supposed to be invisible.

You’ve got time to go back once you figure out what you need. Your army gets stronger the more you travel and this time you start with Teleportation. Maybe go back and get the companion who comes with an adamantine weapon.

Gargoyle attack before Drezen, cleared the dungeon and found that there's a new location on the world map in the area where I haven't dealt with the demon armies telling about a village that was tortured because the crusaders didn't come, I loaded up the pre gargoyle save and the location is not there yet. Does is mean if I clear the demon armies before triggering the attack the village will be saved?

The support really isn’t there for non-armored this time and the armor is so good anyone telling you to go non-armored has no idea what they’re talking about.

They’re both Lawful. I had them together in my Aeon run and it worked well.

Itemization is much, much better than P:K's +1, +2 .... +8. DCs just need some balancing here and there. Same with companions. I'd take the "did I mess up agaain guurl" any day over the ultracringe barbarian.
The bolt that hit Deskari seemed awkward to me as well, until I got a little further in the game. Mythics... are just the epitome of build porn. *Every* mythic path has interesting venues for both casting and melee. Getting back to the game now, too much time spent writing this.

What is the problem with power gaming? Is there any reason to play this thing if it isnt to power game the shit out of it? The first motherfucker that comes talking of "roleplaying" on a game that has a furry in it and half the cast talk like californian girls, I will throw a virtual shoe on his head.

There ought to be a middle ground between faggot walking sim roleplaying and hardcore autismo minmaxing. I don't like having dump stats or 1-class-dips into stuff that thematically doesn't make sense, but that is exactly the way you need to play this on Core it seems.

No you don't, but that doesn't mean that the gameplay loop doesn't get extremely tedious with all the copy pasting and requisite pre-buffing, with the occasionally retarded fight that you cheese with a cloud spell or something like that.

It is simultaneously too easy and too hard.

So far ATHEISM had some pretty cool unique interactions. Any other beliefs have some cool moments?
