Does witch hexes DC’s increase with level?

10+1/2 level+int or cha. just like most class abilities.

I got the upgraded version of sleep hex and stuff and save is now 22DC, enemies all have over 18 will, hexes still are useless, am I missing something?

To be fair, both characters have some important entities behind them that shaped the way they are. So I'd say that they are believable in lore, but not particularly enjoyable as companion characters.

Well, technically she's neither an atheist nor does she have high charisma by herself.

She's basically a follower of Andoletta and the latter interacts with Ember directly through that crow that's following her around. So in a way, you can think of Ember as a sort of cleric of Andoletta lorewise. That's also why she has such a gift of persuasion. Not because she herself is charismatic (her interactions with the Commander's companions showcase that), but because of divine favor. It's not Ember herself shaping her followers through her gift of persuasion, but rather Andoletta fucking up with the minds of those that she has an interest in as for Ember to be able to convert them as it were (de facto, if not de jure, since conversion doesn't require a conscious faith in Andoletta).

Agreed. That said, it's hard to justify why your PC would keep her around unless he subscribes to her nonsense.

I mean, you can say that it's just because she's useful (something which you are allowed to explicitly acknowledge in dialogue), but that's far from a satisfying reason.

I don't immerse that much, my party is an alignment clusterfuck as I only choose by gameplay and writing quality.
There is something quite interesting however if you want a roleplay reason to keep her around, Wenduag is scared shitless of her because she senses something is off. You could keep her around as any lawfull character in a "I want your Jesus shenanigans where I can see and control them, and not have a second crusade start in my back" fashion.

Also another thing on why her writing is good, her character lets the other ones talk about stuff that is not exactly their gimmick. Nenio is so shit because she always keeps her SCIENCE! gimmick up. It makes her onedimensional. If the other characters are talking about something not directly readable from the first paragraph of their backstory it is probably because Ember said something stupid.

It is like how in real Pen&Paper the best roleplayers are the ones who stop the party from just being a bunch of charades following a simple script to acting like they are a real group.

Post ritual, and with the artifact cloak, a charisma based lich is fucking stacked: 500ish natural hp. 70ish temporary hp (both easily replenishable through negative burst), a bunch of defenses from the unique spells (AC, saves, DR, etc), undead immunities (when they work), an optional 10 dr from the strong bones or whatever it's called lich power, a bunch of free dex...

Pre-ritual, however, you're going to have garbage hp and most of these defenses are less relevant if you die to a babau rolling initiative then sneak farting in your general direction. Undead immunities also cost you a level 7 spell slot before you become one for good.

Post ritual, and with the artifact cloak, a charisma based lich is fucking stacked: 500ish natural hp. 70ish temporary hp (both easily replenishable through negative burst), a bunch of defenses from the unique spells (AC, saves, DR, etc), undead immunities (when they work), an optional 10 dr from the strong bones or whatever it's called lich power, a bunch of free dex...

Pre-ritual, however, you're going to have garbage hp and most of these defenses are less relevant if you die to a babau rolling initiative then sneak farting in your general direction. Undead immunities also cost you a level 7 spell slot before you become one for good.

I choose lich for undead immunities and it’s taking forever to become a lich (I.e undead). Not having my undead immunities is gimping me hard atm

There's a level 7 spell that gives you DR 5/blunt, negative energy heals, and undead immunities for 10 min/level. Your +stats aura does not apply to temporary undead, though, unless they fixed it. You also still use con for hp. Positive side is you can legendary proportions your fighter THEN turn him undead, whereas you can't propo a natural undead.
